The most refined multiplayer matchmaking system ever implemented, the best traditional RTS ever made.
A game that combines excellent action mechanics with the sense of agency that I look for in an RPG.
An expansion that deserves credit for adding greater depth and player agency to an already fantastic game.
Accessible whilst still being incredibly deep, Civ V lived up to almost all of my expectations after years of playing Civ IV.
A beautiful and awe-inspiring environment filled with colourful characters. Though the inconsistent characterisation of Marston spoils the sense of agency, the grand vistas and solid mechanics make this an essential game.
A rewarding, often hilarious game that was marred by a buggy release but still deserves recognition for being a fantastic game.
Napoleon: Total War takes the Empire: Total War template and streamlines it whilst still preserving the grand scale of the conflicts depicted.
A fun, spooky rollercoaster that didn't deserve it's hype but does deserve to be played.
The distinct approach to difficulty levels makes this game accessible but still challenging.
A beautiful and extraordinarily difficult game that took exactly as a long as it needed to deliver its violent delights.
