I shouldn't be disappointed, since I didn't like the first season much either, but I am. At this point I'm only continuing to watch the series with the justification, "There's only three more episodes, might as well see it through."

As someone who only played the NES, GBA, and DS games, I don't see any connection between the show and the games. The names Dracula, Carmilla, Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard, sure, but beyond that, nothing. The humor is completely off-mark; I want to see the characters fight knock-off horror movie villains and go to a bar under Dracula's castle that's tended by a skeleton. Instead Trevor and Alucard cuss at each other back and forth as if that's funny. The story feels like it's focused almost entirely on Dracula and his lieutenants, which has failed to endear them to me at all. I feel like I'd prefer to see more of the heroic trio, but the snippets we do get for them are boring; instead of going on a grand adventure they've just been sitting in a vault for three episodes. And Trevor and Alucard are almost as despicable as the villains. The small references to the games I have noticed are inconsequential or differ from the source material.

Doing my best to put my disappointment as a Castlevania fan aside, the show exhibits a lot of pet peeves of mine: With each scene, the dialogue seems to get quieter, so I find myself turning up the volume every few minutes until something loud happens and I have to turn it back down. A lot of characters speak almost entirely in grumbly monotone (not helping the volume issue), which makes it even harder for me to get invested since there's a lot of talking. The end result is that I'm only interested in the action scenes at this point (never a good sign coming from me) and of course I take issue with those, too: They've so far all been entirely one-sided and excessively violent. No investment in the action because it's obvious from the start who's going to win and extreme gore has never been selling point for me.

Though the name suggests otherwise, it's just not for me.

@epidehl: Oh, okay, guess I heard wrong. I looked it up and it looks like you can't change his hair style and his clothes are all or mostly from what he wore in FFXV, but you can put on any of the game's accessories and change the color of his hair and clothes. So I imagine both of her outfits will be exclusive to 2B, but hopefully we'll at least get the option to change her colors.

@creepingdeath0: Couldn't tell you how long it will last, but so far, ranked matches are abundant; if I ever wait for more than a minute, I re-queue on the assumption that the matchmaking broke. I set preferences to 3+ Bars and any location and I generally find an opponent within thirty seconds.

Someone else pointed out to me that Noctis isn't at all customizable in Tekken 7, and 2B, being another Square Enix property, would likely be the same. Especially since Geralt already can't be. But there's still hope that 2B's fighting style will be available for customs, plus her alt outfit and the Emil head suggests that at least some Nier stuff will be available to us. I'm trying not to be too optimistic, but I'm failing.

I feel like this meme has already surpassed Infinity War memes in quantity. But at least I get this one.

Considering they had Baby Rosalina and Pink Gold Peach in Mario Kart, I don't think Bowsette would be too out of place there. And I wouldn't mind another heavy weight female driver. But they would definitely have to come up with their own design for her and probably call her something different; I'd feel weird seeing a character created by the internet get put in any Mario game.

Some people might complain that it seem too similar to the original game...

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel after playing the demo. The new grenadier class seems cool and my imagination's running wild with situations in which they'd be useful, but for the most part, it's just too similar to the first game. I played it twice on PS3, once on PC, and then once more modded rather recently, so I guess I set myself up for this situation. I think I'll wait for all the DLC to come out and buy the definitive edition down the line.

Just finished getting all the achievements for Yakuza 0 on Steam, so I'm not really playing anything at the moment. I'm looking forward to Valkyria Chronicles next month, but I can't keep my mind off of SoulCalibur coming out the month after. Maybe I should dig out one of the older ones.

Got a consistent crash today that triggers when beginning a certain substory (I Am Kazuma-kun). As far as I can tell, there's no way to complete the substory until it's patched. 40 hours in, and that's the only crash--the only technical hiccup at all--so I can't complain too much. Absolutely loving the game.

From what I hear, the filter is overly strict and a lot of people are reporting false positives. It makes me think about Monster Hunter Tri and Dark Souls 2, where you couldn't type "after" or anything with the string "ead" in it without getting censored. But now, instead of a simple censor, it's preventing you from even playing the game. I'd be angry too.

I'm a fan of Mario Party, but there's no excuse for those purely luck-based mini-games in every single one of them. If they really just want to pick a random winner for the turn, then forego the load, the tutorial, and the game itself, and just put a "+10 coins to <player(s)>" as one of the options in the mini-game roulette.
