@merxworx01: Level geometry is not procedurally generated, the devs just messed up. The final level was not part of Early Access and clearly lacks a lot of polish. Similar with the final boss. On my first run in 1.0 I managed to get an enemy that was a mandatory kill stuck outside the level boundary, leaving me softlocked.

@icedmetal57: The planet is called Petrichor V...

IMO the biggest flaw in the game is that it starts you with the Commando class. I hate that class. It's boring and pretty weak, no interesting synergies or situational moves.

Now I want to dig out my OMF2097 CD and see if I can make it run. For the inevitable Ranking of Fighters remember the cheatcode HYPER (hold all five keys at once in the main menu) to enable things like mid-air fireballs and stuff.

My preferred virtual sport is still Blood Bowl.

Warhammer 40k Orcs can talk and coincidentally they sound like Jeff's impression of Brad.

When a barged reactor explodes you still get paid for the reactor so it's likely a bug.

The scanner indicates which rooms are pressurized with red and green squares, that may be difficult for Vinny.

VR already has some good space walk games so this could slot in, though the space games I played in VR never rotate the player by force, you can use the stick to rotate your view left and right but you will always remain upright which is definitely not the case in H:S. I guess full rotation would cause too much sickness.

I do kinda get reminded of the VR game Star Shelter every time I see Shipbreaker. It's very janky (especially the button bindings for the thrusters which you cannot change freely) but kinda interesting, doesn't let you rip ships apart but you enter derelicts and rummage through their cabinets for salvage and such. Walking Dead S&S does of course do rummaging better.

@rorie: Taur?

One of my favorite action RTS hybrids is Glory Days 2 on the DS, based on the old Rescue Raiders template. You're the air support for your army so you fly around and shoot enemy units or intercept enemy aircraft in order to let your army push towards the enemy base. Imagine one of those single lane RTS games popular on mobile except instead of using magic or something to influence the battle you just fly a plane or chopper.

People used to pit animals against each other for entertainment, turns out a grizzly can crush a lion's skull with a single blow. Grizzlies are insanely strong, I wouldn't put any money on a gorilla in such a fight. Hippo, sure, they are about four to six times the weight of a grizzly and covered in extremely thick hide while their mouth contains giant tusks (40-50 cm!) only for combat.

"I swear there were more swimmy things this time"

Yup, Gradius 3 has a hidden rank system that goes up as you collect more powerups and makes the game harder. I believe it's fairly sane on consoles (makes sense to dial down enemy attacks if you've just lost all powerups), the arcade versions were so bad that pro players route specific deaths into their run because otherwise enemies spew huge clouds of bullets and it gets pretty much impossible. Don't want to die on a checkpoint where it's hard to recover. Gradius 4 arcade is also known for this. I've heard that Gradius 3 and 4's arcade versions have a very bad reputation (including even rushed development) and it's recommended that you play the home console versions instead if you can.
