@mistersims: Exactly my thoughts. I hate these designs that many sites try to go for these days. Huge spaces, carousels and whatever.

The old design was perfect for Desktops. I could easily go through the stuff i wanted. I could hover over Videos and have several shows highlighted. Now i have to hover over Videos, go to Shows and scroll through all these big thumbnails to get to what i want. That's nonsensical and not very user-friendly.

As for your last point, personally i already made my decision. I will not re-new my sub when it runs out on November 14th. I can't navigate the site well, i get major headaches from this fucking dark theme (yes, thats what im pissed at the most. Not everyone can handle this, for fuck's sake. I wear glasses, bc my eyes aren't the best so i didn't use the dark theme on the old design either. But Jeff said in the Beta Video that he likes it, so i guess it doesn't matter if some people don't) and it's a chore to scroll through everything. The soul of this website was ripped out completely. What was a colorful and inviting website turned into this generic dark "thing".

What angered me aswell were the dreadful comments by the Reddit Crowd. When i posted there that i won't re-new my sub bc of this change, i was accused of having ulterior motives. Atleast here it's rather balanced between like and dislike.

And regarding bringing back the old logo....no chance. They already slapped it on a ton of merchandise. They couldn't even wait for our feedback at all! And that (besides the re-design) is why i'm leaving. The team couldn't wait for feedback and moved on. It feels to me like everything we criticise here is in vain bc of some subtle things that already happened. I'm disappointed, GiantBomb. I truly am.

I might not have thousands of posts or participated in other things regarding the site, but i supported these guys with my sub. I got my girlfriend and other friends into Giantbomb. The videocontent is still great and will continue to be great. But the design is what holds this videocontent. And if the design flatout sucks and i have to take more time to get to the content or getting major headaches due to the dark theme, then something is wrong and i could just go on their youtube channel instead.

Sorry, but i really hate this new layout. I've been a lurker for years and a loyal premium customer for some time, but i had to go to the forums and make my voice heard.

So what do i not like about this? Too much scrolling, oversized video thumbnails and menus over menus. A complete and utter mess. You killed the great old design for a rushed mobile-like design which is confusing and cluttered. The old design was perfect, bc you could access everything without scrolling much. Now to find a show, i have to hover over Videos, then click Shows, then scroll through all these huge Thumbnails. On the old design i could just hover over videos and it was all neatly there. Newsflash: Not everyone likes to see a mobile-like page on his PC.

So i will probably not renew my premium subscription after the 14th. Really disappointed you rushed this out so fast, because it feels like you ripped out the soul of the site and left it like a lifeless husk. Changing your Icon aswell is evidence to that. Killing the past just for the sake of it.

@assirra: Damn, for a second i thought there was a fix without any consequences. I hope this will be resolved fast. I gotta use Chrome for GB now (same with the WWE Network, bc that didn't work on Firefox months ago and still doesn't for me). While it isn't too much of an issue, i'd like to use my main browser for all sites.

Yeah, for a week i'm getting the "Loading Video" issues on Firefox too, after having zero issues before that. Same Browser, same extensions, same version. It's quite annoying.

Tried disabling certain Add-Ons/Extensions, but non seem to be the cause

@redhotchilimist: I always have to laugh when people like to shit on P4s story, especially the villains. Izanami and Ameno-Sagiri/Kunino-Sagiri are explained throughout the game and not just "random gods".

Izanami awakened several people to use the power of summoning Personas. The popular three are Yu Narukami/Protagonist, Adachi and Toru Namatame. All three represent certain traits: Hope, Emptiness and Despair. Izanami treats it all as a game or rather an experiment. What does humanity desire? And judging by the effects that the actions of the awakened people have on others, Izanami would act accordingly. Adachi's (And therefore Namatame's actions of putting people into the midnight channel) showed Izanami that humans keep their true desires and emotions hidden under lock and key and can never truly be happy, so she plans to flood the world with fog so they can embrace their shadow selves fully.

Ameno-Sagiri a.k.a. Huge Disco Ball Eye and Kunino-Sagiri a.k.a. Namatame's Shadow (which isn't really a shadow, but an aspect of Izanami that possessed him) are just projections of Izanami to enact her plan of flooding the world with fog.

Since i also mentioned Adachi earlier, let's talk about his motives. He's often called a simple or flat villain, that just did stuff for the "lulz". I remember the term ressentiment being thrown in his story before. Creating scapegoats, by blaming those he considers superior for his actions. He says it straight away that only "Talent" matters and he wants to wipe this world away bc of it. He was an utter dick and used his power to do what he likes, bc he was always being put under by the "bad people above him", which helped Izanami emphasize her point.
In a way he was the protagonist's shadow. The protagonist inspired the people around him, while this guy is just out for himself, trying to fill the emptiness within using his power.

In the end P4 is about finding your own identitiy. The good and the bad and accepting every part of yourself. That's what the true ending shows when Izanami is angry at you for seeking the final truth, therefore destroying her plan. So she invites you to a last battle. During that battle you destroy her facade with the Orb and her "corpse-form" Izanami-no-Okami" shows up. Through his will of withstanding her attacks, the protagonist summons Izanagi-No-Okami and finishes Izanami. While defeated she accepts it and vows to let humanity live in peace and choose their own actions, even if they won't gain happiness from it. Therefore her experiment ended.

What people could hold against Atlus is that they don't show the Izanagi/Izanami connection. The myth is well known in japan. After Izanami's death Izanagi goes down to the underworld, looking for her. Even though Izanami doesn't wish to be found, Izanagi finds her in the end and sees what has become of her: A bug ridden, decaying corpse (Izanami-No-Okamis design in the game goes in that direction). Instead of accepting her, he runs off, Izanami in pursuit, until he blocks the entrance to the underworld with a boulder. Izanami was betrayed and had to stay in the darkness, vowing to take 1000 souls down to hell each day, while Izanagi wanted 1500 to be born each day. Two halves of creation battling each other, unable to face the truth.

P4 showcases this myth without actually acknowledging it, which was a missed opportunity, but oh well. In the end P4 was about forcing Izanami to see the "complete truth", showing that not all of humanity is as weak and flawed as the two subjects before. That's why the final move of the game is called "Myriad truths".

Just saying that i haven't played P5 yet, but i plan to do so. This was just here to counter the always popular "P4s story/villains were shit and underexplained"

After 3 hours in the beta......nah, that's nothing more than a neat idea. And i wasn't even bad (just saying to avoid the git gud comments ;) ), but it's heavily repetitive, often turns into 2v1/3v1 unwinnable fights, content is very low (if it didn't have a single player campaign, it would challenge vanilla Battlefront in terms of little content).

It's not for the casual gamer and that will probably hurt it. People were hyped for it, bc they expected a more action oriented game like Chivalry or Mount and Blade, but this is more of a fighting game. And....that hurts it aswell. It wants to be this huge 1v1 fighting game, but their main gamemode, Dominion, constantly makes it obsolete, since it comes to situations where you get rushed by 2 or 3 enemies, which is the equivalent of putting your controller down.

So in a nutshell Ubisoft had no bloody idea where to go with this game and in the end it's a neat idea, but definitely not worth 60 dollars. Maybe to some pros, who want to show off their "skills" on social media, but nothing more. Complete niche product. I'm glad i had time for the open beta, bc i was interested. But as i said: The game is very niche and will probably turn into the next Evolve.

Since i received my Collector's Edition of Injustice today and raged for about an hour after i saw what you need to do to unlock those outfits, i'm going to send you my WB ID aswell. If you're not doing this anymore, it's not an issue at all.

@jacdg: I played alot of MNC and SMNC, but seeing that those games failed in the long run (sad but true -.-) i made Dota 2 my domain. At first you will need a veteran to teach you the ropes. I had a guy with 1k hours at that point and it was a breeze to get into it.

Steam Name: KeV

Location: Europe (Germany), but playing on EU East is not an issue most of the time

Experience: Almost 500 Hours in Dota, but most of that is from watching tournaments. I might not be the greatest player, but i have insight in many abilities and playstyles. That gives me the neat little ability to read enemy attempts und actions very well.

Favorite Hero: Mostly supporters, like Lich, Keeper of the Light or Disruptor.
