lol, I'd love a supercut of them botching the start and having to realign on the fly. "Are we-" "Yeah, we're good."

My favorite instance of them just trying to run through an area so far was in part six (around the twelve-minute mark) when Vinny got hit (as Sheena) while running under the turrets prior to fighting Noiman and flipped out at Dan.

By the way, I love Vinny's tactic of pleading, "Don't come to me! Don't come to me!" It immediately reminded me of The House of the Dead 2.

Hey, guys...tip for the two boss battles at the top of the missile: S.D.J. As Dan mentioned, you can slide through the first boss' beam that creeps toward you. Also, you can slide through the arms for the second boss' first phase, and you can do the same when the extension coming out of it during the second phase swings down. S.D.J.

Glad I caught this live. Great episode, despite the rough start.

I've never never played the game so I can't say for sure, but I'd like to point out that the surrender option with the scientist reads "surrender and fight later". I assume it's an alternate route rather than an ending.

Correct. If I remember correctly, it leads to the train level that's appeared during the attract mode in the intro to some of the episodes.

@insectecutor: I get the feeling they rarely read the comments or just forget things that are said in them. It took them a long time use the standing in the corner strat on the second level boss.

I've been shouting in the comments the last couple of videos that they can jump the robot baseball slide...since it is shown in the demo reel of the video when they start.

Hard to say. I agree with you in some sense, but Vinny's suggestion that they kill the "stationary" guys in that final hallway leading up fun patrol has me thinking that they took my comment from the previous video into consideration for this one.

Anyway, really interesting Bahamut battle toward the end. There was maybe a second or so right as the glitch started when I thought, "Oh, wow, I've never seen him move like that before." Sure enough, it shouldn't have happened. XD

There are some real paint points for them that they don't have completely down yet (Noimon helicopter)

I disagree about Noiman's helicopter form. Vinny did seem a bit off this episode, but I've been pretty impressed with how he's handled Noiman's helicopter form in other recent episodes. He's been pretty good about using Shot II on it and dealing a lot of damage to it.

Should get another 6 button controller, might help you out, and they are cheap.

I wonder if it's a configuration issue. If they're playing on an emulator, then they should ensure that the controller is configured as a three-button controller. If they're actually playing on a real Genesis, then the proper way to switch to three-button mode on the six-button controller is to hold the Mode button while turning on the system and releasing it afterwards.

Each individual hit of Sheena's C weapon is weak, but it's strong because it typically hits numerous times. The problem with the final form of the Deadeye Joe battle at the end of the jungle level is that it moves from left to right too erratically when you're shooting it for you to reliably hit it with any weapon without the occasional miss if you're shooting it from above. As such, Sheena's C weapon doesn't land nearly as many hits in that situation. If you want to use Sheena's laser on that form, then you'll want to stand directly to the left or the right of your target. That shouldn't be a problem as long as you're at the very edge of the screen, in either case.

Now, regarding the final approach to the "fun patrol" and Bahamut, you guys do need to take it slow. Here's the thing: Some of the enemies respawn endlessly, but there's no reason why you shouldn't be taking out the ones who don't. The ones who don't respawn are the ones who aren't running or jumping around; they're just standing still and aiming their guns around. You'll still need to take out other enemies who get close, but you should only scroll the screen further once you've taken out the stationary enemies. It'll just make progressing easier.

I hope they do the other routes because I'm not ready to let this game go ;_;

I hope they at least do a bonus episode and climb the wall near the turrets outside of Noiman's hideout...

This series is just so great.

I hope they'll pick up another game pretty much right after they are done with this one (because that's going to be very soon).

Go Vinny and Dan.

I hope they do Contra: Shattered Soldier, since Dan mentioned it.
