Sure, but without skill-based matchmaking everyone is good is just kind of smurfing all the time, because they're getting matched with bad players by default.
I don't play Fornite but I used to play CSGO all the time and matchmaking was a huge issue in that game. There is a concept of "smurfs" who are basically trolls who are among the highest ranked in the game that make new accounts to play at low ranks just to utterly destroy new players or people who aren't very skilled yet.
So maybe I'm old and out of touch with the kids, but did anyone else find the opening of Gylt... unbelievable? I know kids will be really shit sometimes but the idea of the bullies harassing the girl about her legit missing cousin and then basically attempting to murder her seemed a little over the top to me.
The crew sounds lukewarm but this seems like a revolutionary development for consoles. It works. That's all that matters. The real turning point will be the start of next-gen and 2-3 years in, when PS5 Pro would be announced or whatever the equivalent. Because it's at that point it will become clear the value save of having Stadia over upgrading a PC/console. The group keep slagging on Google but it should be pretty clear there is more value in playing the long game rather than a flashy launch. They don't have the concerns Sony/Microsoft have of shipping units and unit shelving space so having a limited launch and slow rollout makes sense.
That all said, I don't plan to buy one and Google scares me.
If you're the kind of person who would upgrade from a base console to the "pro" refresh, then you'd be a "pro" user of Stadia. That's $120/yr, or basically what it'll cost you to upgrade to the pro console.
I'm not sure I'm seeing the value save you're talking about.
I'm still not clear on what Giant Bomb's stance is for between working conditions for the industry is. The space between port releases for MHW seems reasonable, and considering the pedigree of the team, anything else would obviously be a lot of crunching.
"get your shit together" is a bit harsh and it assumes they are not working as fast as they can already. It almost lines up with all those reddit treads ending with " lazy devs" for not getting immediate, gigantic updates and fixes.
Considering pretty much every other game ever made has simultaneous releases on all platforms, I'm not convinced by this argument. Destiny 2 had a delay for the initial release but ever since then literally all content has been day and date between console and PC.
I couldn't even get past the first five minutes of this episode with Jeff spouting huge amounts of M$ fanboy bias against Sony. I thought gamers grew out of this. Shame
I don’t think they’re shaming having a 6S. They’re just saying buying a 6S TODAY is silly. Which I agree. You should be able to find a cheap 7 or 8 which will stay current for longer for very little more money.
