My Best Games Of 2014

Been a rather lackluster year in terms of big releases but you make do with what you have.

Totally ready for 2015.

List items

  • What else can I say? Been a big fighting game fan and with Ultra being released this year as the definitive version of Street Fighter IV, nothing came close to kicking it out of the top slot for me.

  • Baby, all I need is my bow & arrow and a silenced sniper rifle.

  • After being introduced to this by my brother and a friend, I quickly picked up the first DR and played through it so I can jump in to the second.

    ...

    JAPAN.

  • Fucking garrisons, man.

  • Long did I wait for the PC version, and oh lawd it was worth it.

  • With all of TellTale's projects in the last few years I was beginning to get burnt out on the point-and-click, then BOOM came The Wolf Among Us.

    Then I got burnt out.

  • I like Final Fantasy, but I LOVE rhythm games. The first one was an endearing delight and Curtain Call vastly improved upon it with online VS mode, and a quest system that kept me tapping, sliding and holding for hours.

  • He uses a shovel for a weapon.

  • They weren't kidding with the timely guitar cues and slicing fools to hundreds of pieces.

It was pretty anime, if you ask me.

  • Could have been easily GOTY if they rendered the US 1:1, but that's crazy talk. Anyways, The Crew is essentially (to me) a spiritual successor to Cruis'n USA. Play with friends and just set a custom waypoint across the country and step on the pedal.
