I am a huge movie nut, but I felt like I was missing something not being around for all the great Stanley Kubrick movies so two weeks ago I picked the Stanley Kubrick collection box set.  The box set includes 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, and Eyes Wide Shut along with a documentary about Stanley Kubrick.  So far I have only watched 2001 and Clockwork Orange, but I think it’s probably safe to say that this collection is a definite buy I can’t believe I waited this long to buy it, as of now I think it is safe to say that A Clockwork Orange is my new favorite movie of all time and 2001 is also up there as well.  Since I have been watching these I have been wondering if there any movies similar to Kubrick’s (although I doubt it) that you could recommend to me.

Is it just me or does it seems like school conveniently plans out all the big assignments/tests right around when all the big games come out?  I mean I have managed to play through the single player in a majority of the big games aka Gears 2, Fable 2, and Fallout 3.  I still have to beat Banjo Nuts and Bolts and the original arcade one along with it and I still haven’t finished Far Cry 2 and on top of that I still want to multiplayer on Gears 2 and CoD 5.  So now that all these triple A titles are out school has started to pick up as well giving me 2 tests this week in Math and Chemistry along with another two tests before Christmas break and to top it all off I have a 12 page essay due the last day before break in my media studies class that is worth 10 percent of my mark and over the break I get to work on my History paper that is shaping up to be around thirty pages so guess what I get to do over the Christmas break… Am I the only who has an overload of work or is everybody like this near Christmas?

Ok I’m going to vent a bit here.  So they released the new gears "title update" and it has fixed the public match speeds and the shotgun I feel has gotten better (whether or not they meant to do that I have no idea) anyways those are the good parts about the update now to the bad with this update  when solving problems epic seemed to create a multitude of other ones most noticeably lag yes lag has come and it is here to spoil your fun.  When I first loaded the patch it was great it was like playing gears one you got into matches fast and it was fun, but then it happened I lagged it wasn’t very bad but it was definitely there.  I ignored it thinking hey you know I’m bound to have lag at some point right?  WRONG!   I played another game after and I had lag again this time I thought I was just unlucky, but it’s been happening again and again now for at least 10-12 matches in a row I can't even finish a game now the lag is so bad.  Some other issues that have come up I think that also have something to do with lag is that for instance I was killed with a boom shot, but when the kill thing (official term used by epic) came up in the bottom right corner it said I was killed by lancer I thought that was strange, but I paid no attention to it, but then it happened again when I killed someone with the sniper rifle and it said I lanced them so I'm not sure if this is in some way connected with the update or if it was just a minor mix up in the system.  Anyway that was what I needed to get off my chest with gears.
