I rescued Miller and then noticed the mission list showed two incomplete objectives, one of which was to extract a captain or someone from a village (sorry I don't recall the village name). Went up there and it seemed like I was not in the right place, as if I was not supposed to start this mission. Are you free to do any mission or not?

I'm hesitant to upgrade and/or infuse my gear b/c I have the nagging feeling the weapon/armor will suck (or if I trade a boss soul for a special weapon). Example, I traded for the dragonrider halberd and then found it was too heavy to use. My guy walked in slow motion. A few scenes later I traded for the spider sword, which apparently can slow enemies down. I tested it out a few times by spitting the web stuff out and then it broke after three swings. WTF? Anyway, I'm just trying to find a good armor and weapon upgrade/infusion. My guy is a sorcerer-fighter, using the witch robes, firesword, drangleic shield, longbow+7, and sorceries. I'm looking for a good spear and armor set. Should I just upgrade the witch robes too?

thx for help

I bought Scholar mainly to play the DLC, but I am not happy with the difficulty level, specifically Shulva Sanctum (I haven't done the other 2 DLC's yet). Enemies not only hit like freight trains, they also can poison you with arrows or just by being near them, and when you go down into the temple (?) it's wall to wall battles inside a very confining space. I don't see any summon signs for assistance either.

There's a balance struck by pairing frustration and enjoyment, and FROM really erred on the side of frustration with this one.

i'm wearing the mirror knight armor (not the helmet, gauntlets or leggings) and the desert sorceress skirt; i enhanced the armor to +5 so its physical attribute is 313; i assumed i would be an unstoppable force; however, i notice that upon exploring the dragon citadel (or whatever that place is) and the shulva dlc, my character takes as much damage as if she had just a regular armor set on; why is this? I spend thousands of souls and titanite to upgrade the damn thing and when i get hit i take 1/3 to 1/2 my bar off

The map shows a breakable object, Level 2, right where you can lower the Batmobile down using the winch. I've looked all over the area but don't see it. I grappled to the level above where there's a power generator as well. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Finished AK a couple days ago. Now just wrapping up the tedious task of 243 riddler trophies (did it have to be 243? 200 would've been more than enough). Loved the game, the presentation, the atmosphere. The environment was more fleshed out due to next-gen hardware. AK gives you a lot of value for its price. I spent about 40 hours on it, my kind of mileage for a $60 game.

Parts I disliked: arbitrary way of doing missions and missions that were arbitrary in themselves. Jack Ryder's suddenly been captured by a crazy cult? Time to rescue him. What the hell? The Firefly thing was stupid, and I don't care for Firefly as a villain anyway. It was lame to keep putting out the fires, waiting for him to emerge, taunt you, and lead you on a chase. I did like the Manbat b/c it looked so damn creepy. The Penguin and Two-face missions were likewise uninspired albeit fun. Professor Pyg was prob the most fun I had given how wacked out he was and the cool murder mystery that led to confronting him.

In sum, AK was a blast and Rocksteady should be praised for the amount of work it took to make it.

You could buy the game at a store for shorter time it's taking you to dl it. I have a wireless connection that's unstalbe, rarely dl anything except mandatory updates. I keep thinking of putting a hardline connection in but don't want to go through the hassle.

I may have found a glitch w/the APC patrol missions. Sometimes after destroying the escort cars, the lead APC becomes impossible to overtake, even when you use the rocket burst. The thing keeps speeding ahead, and you either stay at the same distance or fall behind. Idk if you're supposed to cut it off by taking a side route. I've had this happen twice now. Stupid part of this is that the Bmobile is essentialy a rocket on wheels while the APC, for some strange reason, has all the handling and speed of a Ferrari.

Anyone else have this happen?

The Joker is a villain overload much like the one they had in Arkham City. Too many bad guys onscreen: Two Face, Ivy, Clayface, Penguin, Ras, SolomonGrundi, Mad Hatter (totally unnecessary), Deadshot, Dr. Strange, Joker, et al. I know, RockSteady's trying to give everyone a bit of screen time but it undercuts the tension and focus of the game. Having Joker back - again - is another unneeded distraction that steps on the toes of Scarecrow. We already got one effed up psychopath in Scarecrow. Do we need more with Joker?
