Awesome! Thanks Beasts. Thanks for sacrificing your bodies in the name of entertainment. Made my last stop at the local liquor store this morning for my forty. Felt a little sad. Me and my wife loved doing this Cage retrospective with you. (They (40's) are very hard to find by me, luckily I live by a major college campus, and there are ten liquor stores a short drive away).
I think of Andrew Reiner from Game Informer as an analog to Jeff. Same type of absurd encyclopedic knowledge about games... with none of the worn out, beat-ass cynicism and lack of patience. I have no idea how he is not totally jaded, after all the games he has played. The dude puts out a list each year of every game he has FINISHED. It generally dwarfs the number of games Jeff has even played. Again... I am sure I am being overly harsh, but I really do love GB. I just need to say my piece as a paying customer. Would love to hear Jeff's thoughts on games he actually dives into... as opposed to the most superficial criticism that really doesn't hold any value to me... or anyone else, if they are being truthful.
Alex is totally right about "Dark Knight." Way over-rated. The whole boat scene? I would say the ONLY good Nolan Batman is "Begins." To great, elongated montages make up the first half of that movie.
Also, great show. For some reason the conversation was captivating.
