Games That a Ton of People in My Age Group Love And I Don't

Maybe the controls were stupid. Maybe I never got into the story. Maybe I really really don't get why people like them. These are just games I never really likes that many of my peers still try to make me play.

And I'm not including things that might not appeal to everybody, like say, Metal Gear. I'm trying to pick things with wider appeal to people I know.

List items

  • I still don't understand this one. Mario was on Ice all the damn time. The camera was bad and I never enjoyed playing it. It was always too frustrating.

  • Never got into Final Fantasy as a whole. I'm not huge into RPGs and grindan. But this is the quintessential one and I just can't be buggered to care.

  • Just all of them. The only Pokemon games Ive ever played were puzzle games. Ant that was more because I like puzzle games than anything else. I just don't get it.

  • Now with this, I'm not saying I don't Like OoT. I do. But there's something about this Zelda that my generation seems to worship that I don't quite understand. I mean, it's not great looking, but the designs are solid. It's a decent length, but the story isn't all that different from the LttP formula. I just don't get it. Especially since Majora's Mask was a superior game, visually, storywise, and characterwise.

  • Lots of people play Oblivion. I fall asleep every time this happens. It's like a lullaby.

  • I don't get it. There's really nothing that special about it. Like I'm not against the FPS in general. There's a bunch that I enjoy. But someone needs to explain how this not-terrible shooter changed gaming as we know it. It's not terrible, but it's not all that great either.

Mario 64 is all kinds of balls. Easily the red headed step child of that magnificent Italian's legacy for me.
Halo 2 was the least stupid of the Halo campaigns for me, but I did like Halo 1 multiplayer with Andrew, good times were had.
The rest of the list is because you don't like RPGs that don't have Mario in the title. Pogeymanz is awesome, and its the only game that literally the entire club played. Though, I'm no fan of FF7.
