Hope the race weekend is going well for everyone. I wasn't feeling up to it on Friday, so I missed that race. Wasn't home in time for Saturday's race. I'm pretty sure I won't be home in time for Sunday's race either. I was looking forward to at least doing the Bombcar race this weekend, I like that weird lopsided track. Anyway, have fun tonight. Hopefully I'll see you guys next weekend.

I got towed to the pits at the end, which put me up one lap of where I should have been. Neemer really won it despite what it shows. It sucks we didn't get better turn-out, but I'm sorta glad it wasn't a full 75 minutes. I can barely focus for more than 15 minutes at a time. Fun track though. Really amazing driving it at night (in a car with headlights even!). Those of you who missed it by choice missed one of the best US circuits.

Don't expect I'll be home in time for this week's Bombcar, but I should make it to the GT3 race at least.

Thanks Ironic, you're my hero! Don't let it go to your head.

I was thinking of taking the F1 car to Interlagos. I don't think I've ever done an actual full race there in iRacing yet. My second pick would probably be Suzuka.

Aaaaand iRacing crashed trying to save the replay of the F1 race. UGH! I wanted to see that first lap again. Would anyone else with the replay mind terribly sharing it?

I'd be interested in doing that exact same race again, but without the cautions of course.

Well I can say this at least. That's the first figure 8 race I've done where I never had to go to the pits.

There's a lot of setups out there for the BMW on the member forums. Maybe not one for every race on our schedule, but that's not a problem. For Daytona, I was using a setup meant for Spa. My fastest lap was only about a second down from the person with the best time, which is pretty good for me, so the setup was fine. I also have the RUF, but it seems like the BMW is less likely to do barrel rolls, and just looks better inside and out in my opinion (especially at night since the interior dash lights up green).

@connorpoz: I made a rare appearance this week at the GBGT race. Usually, I'm not home Sunday nights, but this week I was. Driving the BMW around Daytona Road was a whole lot of fun. The car got away from me a few times, but for the most part it drove the way I wanted it to. With some more time behind the wheel of that car, I'd probably have much less trouble with it. It made me wish I could do more races with it, it was great.

Sorry I missed tonight's DW12 race. I hope it was good despite what sounds like a bad turnout. I can't be home the entire weekend usually, but I at least try to attend two of the weekend races whenever possible. Not sure what's up with everyone else though. If you don't want to buy the Jetta, totally understandable. It's fun but it does cost money. Outside of these four races, I'm not sure when I'll ever drive it again.

The DW12 though... no excuses. Just buy it. You'll love it no matter who you are, I promise. At least when it comes to oval racing. I'm not totally into road course racing it, but on ovals that thing is a beautiful beast. It goes so damn fast and has so much downforce you'll probably never touch the brakes. It's almost like racing in a fantasy game like the Wipeout series. It makes all other cars (besides the F1) seem like they're from a bygone era of racing.
