What's going on this weekend for you guys? I'm passing off my 2 year old onto my sister so I can have a weekend of movies and games. Should be playing a ton of SC II. What about you?
@natetodamax: No, stupid people that live off the system need to stop having kids. If everyone that is a moron quit having kids, the population would naturally decrease. I once heard someone say that they are having babies because it get's them a bigger welfare check...really...wow.
Ok, I just need to vent for a minute. I keep hearing all the stories about how a child killed someone and everyone blames it on the violent video games. F*** that. If a 14 year old decides to go on a rampage, it's not because of a video game. It's because they are either messed up in the first place or the parents never disciplined the child ...ever. I hate it when parents pawn the responsibility off onto other mainstream media so that they don't get blamed. "Oh my child beat someone up...it's because he was playing GTA". F*** Jack Thompson and his rants about it's the video games fault. If parent would actually listen to the ESRB and follow what it suggests, this would all be prevented. Yes kids can go over to the neighbors or friends and still play those games, but if parents take responsibility it wouldn't be an issue.
I'm a parent and I will and do take full responsibility for what my child does until he is 18 and at that point if he messes up, then I failed as a parent. If he does something wrong before 18, then it's on me. I will fix the situation myself...not say he watched some movie or played some video game. Nope, it's because I didn't do my job. Don't want the responsibility of the child...then keep it in you pants.
Hey fellow GBer's. I want to know if you run your mouth when you are playing online? I for one do not. I can hold my own online depending on the game, but I don't waste the effort on running my mouth. I can't take arrogance and I hate cocky people. Especially when they are not face to face...cowards. I do understand that smack talking is part of the online community, but I just want to see how Giant Bombers handle it? Do you talk shit? What do you think of others running there mouths online?
Septim@septim: Dude, don't get to worried. You can still make it work. I'm just saying it's harder to find the time, but it's not impossible. You might have to give up some stuff, but I would say I still game 10 or so hours a week. Now compared to what I did before I was married, that is nothing...but it works. I love my wife and kid (soon to be kids) and have a blast when I'm with them, but I also need some alone time. That's where I get my game on.
It's nice to see I'm not alone. So here I am bitching about lack of time and no sleep and what do I do...I got my wife pregnant. We are actually expecting a baby in Sept. I must play as much SCII as I possibly can. The only advantage of my wife being 8 months pregnant is that she goes to bed early, so once my 2 year old is sleeping it's daddy's time to shine on the PC. I've heard of people doing the 6 - 20 min sleep sessions throughout the day, but they didn't have very much success with it. I'm not sure why it failed for them, but know it did. Anyways...I better go work for the man.
I can't wait for beast mode. I'm going to Ticker the shit out of someone and love it. Horde was a blast, but it'll be a great switch to play as the baddies.
