Heartbreaking ending! So close Jan!

Some friendly tips whether you do more streams or just play alone! I'm not gonna tell you there's a specific way or card set you need to play but hopefully just some helpful ideas to think on.

  • Try to think a little bit more about how the gear you're equipping compliments a build, whether that's evasion, more health, counter, etc. You're not always going to have a perfect build going, and will probably have to change a build a few times per run because of what loot gets generated. But now that you have things like Dunes and Thickets providing you buffs and the level up buffs like the one you got that increases max health on each trophy pickup, you might not have to solely just take the highest number loot each time.
  • Every loop the enemies (and the boss get more powerful), and while it's not like you want to face the boss on the first loop or anything, generally speaking I would consider trying to face them earlier than you ended up getting to them in this run. Doing this is going to require placing down more cards more quickly.
  • As an addition to the previous point, you may want to consider placing more enemy spawners on the map/not always eliminating spawners when you can. Harder enemies give more/better loot, and several times you mentioned how you just weren't getting good loot. When the boss showed up you only had 4 active enemy spawners, some only providing 1 enemy every few days, and the rest were all slimes. The game is a constant balance between not wanting to put too many spawners down and die, but when you put things like villages down (or the Ransacked Village becomes the Count's Land) think about what spawners can go near there now you have extra healing, more spots for quests, etc. As a specific example I like to have one Ransacked village going at a time, and when one transforms I'll put down another Vampire Mansion next to an existing normal village, and then maybe place a spawner near the new Count's Land.

Actually played a ton of Chinese (original?) Mahjong growing up, as my parents are from the UK, where I assume that version is more popular than Riichi Mahjong. It’s interesting to see the slight variance but it mostly seems like the same basic setup and play, most of the differences are probably in some of the minutiae and scoring. Definitely glad they got to playing and not Wikipedia, doesn’t seem like the best place to learn rules

Man I love this series and I'm so sad Abby is leaving so we won't get gems like this anymore. This season has been a lot of fun with Abby and Vinny playing co-op games, both terrifying and hilarious

I usually never comment but felt the need to chip in here and say this game is great and I’m loving this stream so glad it’s a series. Abby’s doing a great job as captain and kind of leading on the focus and puzzle-solving, plenty of room for dumb goofing off but also good to have someone to kind of direct when it’s time to focus.

This game has so much more in it now than when it came out. For those saying it’s boring and not enough PVP a lot of people are playing the new arena mode which is a surprising blast and full of intense combat. Probably means the adventure mode is a little quieter at the moment since people who want to fight are there. This game is much more fun as a chill-out sailing game that has occasional moments of deadly excitement. I’ve seen the comparison to Elite Dangerous or Truck Sinulator thrown out and its a good comparison.

Totally fine for people to be still not into that or whatever, but some of the reactions here seem overly strong, there’s plenty of other great GB content if this isn’t your thing!
