Hope Brad's feeling better, I have a cold now so I'm on his side.
If I had a PS4/PS4 Pro I'd definitely get this, I'd like to see a PC version. I've never played Uncharted so my take on this game might be off, but the wall climbing and bow & arrow stuff remind me more of the Tomb Raider series which is something I've played for a lot of hours (it was the first PS1 complete playthrough for me).
I like the pacing of what I've seen, I didn't really fast travel much in Borderlands since I was quite happy picking off bad guys for fun, and I'm happy with loot gathering as well. I would only go with the idea someone suggested of one button to grab all loot if it was optional. It can be a lazy option since you need to be informed for decisions about things you're dropping to pick up other things instead, which would be a turn off early in the game for me. (I would use it though).
I think the GB scoring system for a five star rating is roughly 80+ (subjectivity aside), so 5/5 doesn't seem unfair?
@drew Best of luck Drew, you brought a lot of personality to the site. One last Flight Club? There must be something you can play with Vinny over the internet.
Looks and sounds good to me., I simply don't have the time (or skill probably) to get far into SMB's difficulty level. I've tried but it's too much for me in short doses. As Brad and Drew said this seems less punishing by a notch or two and I'd probably make good on trying to finish it.
I think it would be a shame for developers if a good game with a single player element didn't get traction because the online community wasn't impressed (whether in early access or not).
I thought this was fun, and understandable given the transient state of the studio. One of the funny moments for me was the conversation about Hockey jerseys around 10:20, when Jeff says he thinks they've gone out of style. Jason says "I blame Kevin Smith", and Jeff gives him a sideways look and then says "yeah" while pulling a Silent Bob face/shrug. I'd like to think it was intentional.
So much press speculation about who Toto should choose for that seat - I reckon it's easy and it's got to be Pastor, right? I would love to see the look on Hamilton's face if that happened.
Yes please I want one of these, some of my reasoning:
1) I usually enjoy the emulation technical challenge, but I have less time (and too much storage space on my PC) to spend and I would forget that I have it installed
2) Physical device as a console might help with remembering in (1) and also it could be a thing to turn up with at the right type of occasion
3) Controller cables are short, but my monitor isn't far away
