I thought the game looked and sounded good, so I'll probably buy it sometime after release. I'd also be interested if this particular gun mod was included if Wolfenstein ever revisits WW2:

It looks a bit unwieldy in the picture on that page, but I think that's just a display arrangement. I found a better look at it in TV show QI Series H, Episode 1 beginning late in the 14th minute where you can actually see a real one from various angles.
"The Sturmgewehr Vierundvierzig or Sturmgewehr 44 used by the Nazis during World War Two, was the first modern assault rifle, and the Krummlauf was a bent barrel with a periscope which allowed the user to shoot around corners and over walls. It was invented by a washing machine manufacturer called Hans-Joachim Shayede. Such modifications were first used by the Australians during World War One and modern versions are used by the Israeli army."
@brad: I backed the game (at a relatively low tier) so I'm keen to play it in a matter of hours, and as such the Toybox demo is my only experience with the controls so I'll take your word for it. I never expected it to be perfect overall though, and my money was already spent a long time ago so my mindset is "well, here it is". Two things though:
a) It was called horseshit within minutes of it starting. Even if it was explained that "it's my kind of horseshit", it's quite a strong phrase that sticks in the head and may cause people to stop watching early in the video at the expense of the developer. From what I saw there didn't seem to be any awful (if admittedly comic) bugs, see SQUAD, Assassin's Creed, ME: A.
b) The tutorial popups were dismissed as being annoying. Presumably in the interest of keeping things moving, but I have to wonder if they would help.
I'd probably have kickstarted this if I'd known it existed. I'm into it, including the touches like the delapidated store sign at 34:57 which says "smART BuY ELecTRONics" (the letters in lower case have fallen off the sign) whilst the store has a window sign saying "Available for Rent". Looks like someone is getting their CV in order.
@heartagram: o7 is a salute (not 100% sure about the origins).
Best of luck Drew, I hope you get everything you want from life and your pilot's training. Put in a good word for Flight Club next time you speak to Vinny.
