I hit some pretty gnarly performance issues once I got to space but otherwise I'm having a great time. Echo Arena is great, except I keep punching shit (even with Guardian enabled) and facing away from my two sensors.
I can't speak to Overwatch as a competitive game because that's not a world I inhabit, but one of the reasons Overwatch is special to me is because of the positive reinforcement. I'm probably doing about as poorly in a given round of Overwatch as I would be doing in a game like Titanfall 2 or COD, but I have more fun in Overwatch because Overwatch pats me on the back and tells me I'm doing a good job, which I enjoy.
I dunno, I can see the frustration of having certain datasets obstructed when you're trying to diagnose the issues your team is having, but I don't know if surfacing this information would do much for the game's toxicity problem.
Alright, just went through and Bookmarked a whole lot of these (any with links, basically). Will try to play and leave comments, although I have a feeling most of my feedback will read something like "stop taking design advice from Dan, you monster."
I dunno, I kinda like what GH has done? I picked up RB4, went through their (horrible) re-downloading process, played the ten songs I remember loving (guess I was really into Nine Inch Nails as a kid, huh?) sight-read like...three of the new songs on Expert, and haven't really touched it since. Already, I'm more attracted to GH Live's model. Free streaming of songs (music videos!) to get me out of my bubble, a new controller that makes me feel like I did when I first played GH1 as a freshman in high school (struggling on medium), and a flat rate of on-demand songs for whenever I host parties.
I guess if I wanted to 100% songs on Expert, GH isn't my game (no way to own any music permanently, no good practice mode), but for a fuck-around good time, this new Guitar Hero is my new jam.
I dunno, I'm only a little farther than you and I don't mind it so much. If you're jonsing for some Big Boss Talkin' Atcha time, the cassettes (a stand-in for codec convos) are better about that than the main game.
