@tartyron: Also enjoyable to me was Dan trying to google what an electron looks like. I don't think this episode had time for the explanation that everything you see is basically photons bouncing off of matter and hitting your eyeballs, but electrons are subatomic and don't interact with photons the same way as atoms and molecules, so you can't directly "look" at an electron using a traditional microscope as if it were a normal object.
Bakalar explaining light to Dan would be wild.
We might be a few hundred videos away from that, and I'll be waiting for a quantum field theory video, hahaha.
I made it to the final 4 of a Tetris 99 battle before attacking anyone. Zero badges and then managed to win. Just like the situation @brad was asking about at 51:30.
Jaded old Jeff, having to put down poor MatPat. That's just how enthusiastic he is!
And I'll take energy over pessimism and negativity any day.
Agreed, it weirds me out when the GB crew dunk on streamers when that's exactly what GB has become now. I've never heard of MatPat before this but he seemed totally fine and can you blame him for being excited to have the opportunity to speak at a keynote like this? Honestly GBW could use some energy, Rorie/Business Dave bring the heat but overall it's been lacking since Dan moved.
Disingenuous energy, felt like I was watching a coke head or Adderall user who was lining their pockets with google cash. The streamer/youtuber voice thing is so weird, constantly talking in "we"s and "we're"s to integrate the chat audience. Making the viewers believe engaged than they really are.
The haters are out in full force in the comments this time. Wow people, relax a bit. Not going to boost it, but personally, I enjoy the site redesign and the new video player. Additionally, Rorie is very amusing.
Just buy the health and weapon upgrades as soon as possible. You'll only make it harder for yourself as you keep playing by waiting until much later. You'll be getting a constant stream of credits as you complete missions anyway.
Also, the weapon upgrades apply to your entire squad (it says this right on the descriptions while you're shopping), so no reason to skip over any of them even if it's for an upgrade to a weapon Shepard doesn't use. The whole team gets stronger, and that's always a good thing!
