I believe they stated outright that this game was going to be for sale. They needed money to fund development for the project which most publishers wouldn't back. Why don't you want to share the Double Fine goodness with the world?

I second that opinion. I really dig the character designs of Skullgirls, and the detail in the sprites is great.

Age of Empires II continues to keep me hooked when I fire it up.

Devil May Cry 3 always scratches my PS2 nostalgia itch.
