Also if you fire it two feet in front of you: you die. With a game that looks as good as this I'd like to see more HUD options so the screen is less cluttered with info.A hardcore mode."
I think that's probably one of the better suggestions of how to change the assault class I've heard so far.

I would pay good money for a 360 as deliciously tacky as this, all it's missing is a soft neon glow on the underside.

Like anyone who plays a game for a certain length of time I've become all opinionated about how the multiplayer works. Deciding what needs fixing and sorting out despite my lack of knowledge about the complexities of game design. So without further ado here are my potentially game breaking ideas of what to change:

- Give the standard infantry the ability to use a second badge
- Reduce the cool down time for any second badge used by the infantry by 20% (as an incentive)
- Reduce the Medic's Revive guns cool down by 25%
- Dropped medi-packs appear on radar
- Any player revived by the medic would be given a 5-10 second window where (if no kills are made during that time) another death will not be counted against their overall score
- The repair ability can turn enemy ammo dispensers into friendly dispensers without the need to destroy them first
- Destroying an enemy ammo dispenser will drop a small amount of ammo relative to whatever gun the player is carrying
- Deployed spawn grenades will sensibly determine which way you are facing when spawning (either towards enemy territory or so you're not facing a wall)
- No initial invulnerability when spawning from a deployed spawn point
- Spawn grenades can be defused by the engineers repair/hack ability (with a timer equivalent to defusing a bomb)
- Spawn grenades will 'go out' quicker if unused for a certain amount of time (to discourage silly spawn grenade placement and allow a sensible tactician to be able set up another spawn relatively quickly given the burden of the '2 spawn grenades per team')
- The rocket launcher would have reduced damage (any player on full health caught in splash damage will be reduced to an amount of health comparable to a shotgun hit, any player hit dead on will suffer instant death)
- The rocket launcher would have an increased ammo count (from 3 to 6)
- The saboteur's disguise would be removed if they fired their weapon, regardless of whether it was at an enemy or not
- The saboteur's disguise cool down would be increased to encourage more sensible use of the disguise (as opposed to the current tactic many players employ of put on disguise, run into enemy territory head on, shoot, die/rinse repeat)
- The disguise not as easily revealed when focusing on a enemy saboteur from close up
- Disguise removed when shot at a couple of times (as opposed to instantly after one shot)
- C4 would emit either small light radius similar to that of the air support beacon (though not as large) or a faint beeping sound, allowing a more cautious and observant player not to run head on into a trap
- The scout's cloak would be removed after firing a single shot regardless of whether it was a hit or not
- Reduced magnum damage at longer distances

Well that was longer than I thought, other than those few points I think the game is great! Feel free to add your own suggestions or openly criticise mine because they adversely affect a class you like.

One thing about Prototype though, no cover system = EPIC FAILS!!1

But to contribute seriously I'm fairly indifferent to either, sandbox games that allow you to go bonkers with the environment seem to lose that initial 'oh cool' factor fairly early on. After a while repeatedly tossing around paper cars in sparse environments becomes quite tiresome.

What I don't get is just because they are fairly similar styled games they have to be pitted against one another? ...oh wait yes I do

How can something be the 'best' of anything without a cover system??! Utter lunacy!

Why would punch an inanimate object after losing matches against people you don't know in a game you are relatively new to? I've never got why people try and break their own property after losing at a game (a game, as in for fun).

But on topic, have you tried installing your scratched copy of SF4? It may not run from the disc but there's a chance it may install.

If you haven't checked this out yet I highly recommend you do. It's a mash up of Ocarina of Time tunes with vocals from likes of Aesop Rock, Common and Jay Z. Definitely an interesting mix, Jay Z blended with a tune synonymous with hitting the A button over and over again to wade through the masses of text spewed out by the bloody owl only to realize you've just hit A on the 'Would you like me to repeat that?' option.

I'm in GBOC at the moment, admittedly I joined just recently which makes the suggestion for another clan even sillier. I'm just putting the idea out there for people who would be adversely affected by the time difference.

First off, I feel like a bit of an arse for suggesting yet another clan. Mostly because I've managed to skit between the 2 existing GB clans and I haven't played a single clan match yet!

But how many European Giant Bomb users would be interested in joining a separate EU clan? I'm putting forward this notion primarily because the time difference between US and EU can make the match times a bit of a slog (especially for those who have early mornings).

In terms of how competitive/casual this separate entity would be I'm thinking a nice balance between the two. But depending on what people want we can swing it one way or the other.

If you're interested reply with your PSN id and any suggestions. I don't want to impose upon the organised clan or the pineapple, just hoping to offer a workable alternative for ma European bruthas (or American bruthas who work nights).

I'm still waiting for an invite to shuffle me into the competitive clan, with that in mind can I still play in the 9pm practice tonight? Is it open to anybody (within reason) or is there some super duper clan practice mode that I don't know about?
