2013 Completed Games

List items

  • First game of 2013, finished!

Played this on steam again, my new multiplatform of choice! Used an xbox controller and completely rocked it. While the one ending was pretty grim, the overall game was pretty awesome. Not sure what they'll do in the next one to make it awesome, but I'll give it a shot.

  • This was a bit of a slow burn, but once I got into it it pretty much rocked.

Played through the full Eldar campaign, focusing on my units, now I think I'll try orcs, and focus on heroes!

  • I'm not sure when you can say that you've "finished" with Civ 5. I played a bunch of Gods & Kings, found it fun, but not sure I have the desire to spend that much more time with it. Likely will play a bit more, and it was fun.

  • I had already added this, but no, didn't want to save my text! Bitching aside, this game made me realize just how much I still enjoy JRPGs. Even if the combat was not that good (and it's not) this game was still a lot of fun and scratched a serious itch for me. There are lots of things I would change (like all of the completed game stuff being available before you fight the last boss) but it was fun. I'm going to spend a bit of time playing it still, so that I don't have to sit in my basement all day.

Beat it around 68 hours on PS3, we'll see where it goes from there.

  • Played this on PC, man is this game fucked up. The music was awesome, but I might just get the sound track and skip the game if they come out with a sequel. Apparently it took me about 5 hours to complete.

  • This game was such a port that it wasn't even funny. The amount of bullshit required to get it running correctly (controls were the worst part) and I was sure I wouldn't like most of it. The story wasn't good, the characters had no depth, but the guns, the leashing, and the shooting was still a lot of fun. I wouldn't say it's a recommendation, but I don't regret playing it.

  • Finished the main campaign, and the cut scene quality definitely made up for the camnpy story. I had a ton of fun, played this on hard, and then went back for all of the normal achievements. I plan on continuing to play the multiplayer with the guys, but I said the same thing about Diablo 3.

  • 22 Hours for the first playthrough. I started off on Ironman but realized early on that it wasn't going to be the way I wanted to play that game. Had a ton of fun with my psionic friends, Dual snipers is the only way to roll. Steam has it clocked at 22 hours total.

  • I still like a good diablo style game it seems. I've played this with Jesse when he was around, with Susan when she'll play with me, and then all the way through once on my own. Almost have my Storm up to level 30, but I'm looking forward to playing as Colossus a bunch more too (and Scarlet Witch, and Thing)

  • 10 hours of this game on PC, and overall, I'd say it was OK. It's pretty, that's for sure, but the level with the exploding blobs was bullshit. I think it would be interesting to play again on Ranger, but that's just plain not going to happen.

This also freed up a spot in my FPS queue for Bioshock Infinite.

  • This game looks goddamn amazing on PC. Ran solid at 60 FPS for my full 16 hours of play through, and boy would I like to play it again, once I've got time. I will be trying the single player DLC once it comes out. Looking at the other games I played this year though, I don't think I can make GOTY predictions just yet.

  • I think I'm "done" this game. I played through until I had finished a 120min game, but like Civ I think it will continue. Very fun game, but I'm bad at it (again, like Civ)

  • This game was awesome, and I am very glad I paid full price for it. More people need to play it and make games like it. The End.

  • How to say you have finished "New Leaf"? My house is fully paid for, but the encyclopedia is not yet filled. I'll likely tinker with it some more, but it is as close to "finished" as I can think I'll get.

  • 17 Hours on PC. I played it through as low of chaos as I could, and overall it was a lot of fun. I've got the knife of dunwall DLC, and plan on just slaughtering fools in it. I think the game could be a lot of fun (and probably very fast) to play through it in an aggressive mindset. Finished Knife of Dunwall also, fun game, but moving onto the next thing in my list.

  • Played it for 5 hours on PC. I really like this game. I can think of a few things I didn't like though. Guns made the game less fun, but also made it so much easier to get through fights. I pretty much had to use a gun in order to keep going.

That's actually about my only complaint, game rocked.

  • 18 Hours of Game, 94% Completion on Steam, and I think it's fair to say I enjoyed this game also. I moved the TV upstairs and played it 100% on the TV and it looked amazing. Sure I didn't get it locked at 60fps, but I can live with that.

  • Played 15 hours of this on Steam. I enjoyed the gameplay, but the end level seemed poorly optimized, and I think it would have been more fun with a skill tree of some sort, not just the skill point allocation.

  • Played through it on PC, not really sure why. I didn't like the story, the titillating cutscenes, or the gameplay. Overall not one I could recommend, but at least it was short.
