I've semi-actively played WoW since it's launch in 2004, and have never understood the appeal of returning to vanilla. I enjoy the progress the game has made, where it's at, and being able to just solo all the old raids and dungeons when I want to re-visit that shit. The idea of classic leveling speed, skills, talents, etc. sounds pretty awful.

I messed with private servers a few times many many years back, and the fun in them was always killing 3 mobs that gave a billion exp, hitting the leveling cap, and buying high end armor for a few copper, then tearing shit up for 20 minutes before I was bored. (Not far off from the live game now, at the level cap.)

I mean, I'm glad people are stoked, and hope they enjoy it, but the only fun I personally can see in this is seeing some of the pre-Cataclysm zones. Not enough to actually play more than a few hours, though.

They've all been pretty miserable since I got out of my mid-teens. I'm usually extra depressed on those days, so they're especially shit.

I've given up on a few optional bosses, but no, the worst thing for me is giving up on a final boss. Only once I can think of, at the end of Shin Megami Tensei: Soul Hackers on 3DS, I just could not beat the end boss. For whatever reason, it just kept kicking my ass, and I gave up and shelved the game. I wonder if I was just done by then, or what, as I'd assume like most games of it's type I could just grind to a crazy level and go back and stomp it. But yeah, it's the only time I've just quit a game at the literal last encounter. Feels pretty shitty.

This was my go-to Quick Look for many years. Hilarious stuff.

Sad to see the negativity, but I'm still pretty excited for the PC release. Same as with Destiny 1, provided I get a solid few weeks going through the campaign, seeing the sights, maybe leveling another class after I finish the campaign on one, I think I'll be pretty satisfied.

Very likely to shelve it after, until DLC hits, but judging from the pre-endgame/raid talk on the Bombcast and here in the community, seems like there's a good time to be had in there.

Yeah I prefer it to Voice Acting in a lot of cases actually. Because I generally read much quicker than the lines are spoken.

This is my feeling as well. In fact, I often just mute my games and read the text, while listening to music.

But yeah, story is #1 for me in games, so reading tends to be vital.

Abby is a fantastic addition to the site, and her interactions with Vinny have been some of my favorite moments from recent content.

Keep being awesome, Abby!

I've been having the same issue on my iPad since the update. Using Chrome. Some of the random things being repeated are pretty comical, granted, but yeah it's made watching content on my iPad pretty hard to deal with.

At this point, I'd be pretty down with Alex just streaming Kiwami from home.
