  • I never had so much fun playing such difficult levels. Even the toughest levels were a joy to play, every time I found myself getting frustrated I couldn't help but notice I was smiling and having a hell of a time. Retro has proven they can craft some of the best 2-D platforming, incredibly creative spaces, and some of the most vicious mine-cart levels I've ever seen.

  • An epic, beautiful, and lengthy game. Some of the landscapes were downright jaw-dropping. To me, it surpassed God of War this year for best character action game.

  • It's so buggy Obsidian should be ashamed of themselves yet I still played it for 45 hours.

  • For the life of me I don't get why this received so much hate. I actually prefer it to the first one. The combat is better and really the story of the original is not all it's cracked up to be. The whole thing fizzled out post-twist. This game fixes that and I loved the "Protect the Little Sister" moments.

  • The most addictive iOS game I've ever played. Spent more than 5 hours in one sitting on this thing.

  • After playing so much Modern Warfare 2 I thought I'd be sick of the franchise but 40 hours later I found myself just as addicted to the multiplayer. The single-player was also an incredible success.

  • More of the same great stuff from the first game. Yeah it's hard to deny how wonderful that really is.

  • A bit short, yes. But Costume Quest has so much character and charm it was such a joy to play. I made a Saturday of it and really soaked in the experience.

  • I loved the first one and this was a more refined but equally insane experience.

  • One of the best endings of the year- heck, this just might have one of the best endings in any video game.
