when was the last time your internet went down?

I live in the UK, and I cant even remember the last time I lost connection...

about having to have a connection.

really? how often does your connection go? Ive not had it go for years...

and just money making? Duh? what are sony and MS then? saints?

This is the future, and buying that small box will be a dam lot cheaper than buying a huge box full of complicated hardware...

Its brilliance...

I'll be playing game way better looking than crysis on my laptop XD

I understand why this may seem completely immpossible but just watch that whole video, i just did, and theyve convinced me.

You have to understand these people are not stupid, they know that for games lag must be at a minimum. And they said there that the lag they get is less than we can percieve. So thats that...

And also just look at what this is, the laptop im using right now would never play crysis, or farcry 2 on medium let alone high. But this would let me play those games on the highest settings.

And not only that, they said that right now it could easily handle graphics way in excess of crysis, because they do all the computing, they run the games, they have the giant servers. all you get back is the video streamed of the game you ar eplaying.

its HUGE, and its not really that suprising, its incredible, but its the way everything is going these days.

and what do you need to HD gaming? 5mb connection...

I dont know if i have that now but I'll bet I will be able to get those speeds within 5 years easily. here in the UK fibre optics that allow for speeds of up to 100mb's a second are being tested.
In france the average speeds are around 40 or so i believe. so theyre set

This is the way gaming is going. Its cheaper, its quicker (like buy and start up a game in 5 seconds quick) and its incredibly easy.

I love it, I cannot wait for it. I know it will be a huge success, the publishers are already backing it, the technology is there already from their viewpoint and the tecnology for us is either there or right around the corner.

This is the next level of gaming. No more gens, no more buying 3 consoles for all the games. Its everything on one box which fits in your trouser pocket.

Well the fact is its right around the corner, they already have big publishers backing this, they already have crysis running on this and tested it, the lag is non existant, like 1 millisecond.

Its got some pros and cons really which for me makes it hard to decide weather I back it or not...

Pros: You never have to upgrade your PC again which will save you hundreds a year, you can always play games witht he highest level of graphics, the box used to run the games are tiny as the gaming systems are somewhere else, it may be cheaper as there is no disk, you can rent out games, should eliminate host advantage in online games.

Cons: There may be a monthly subscription to keep servers running meaning if you only want to play a few games it will be like paying again for the same game, lag and graphics depend on your internet connection. If you lag is bad, your skrewed, if your internet fails, your skrewed, if the servers fail, you and thousands of others are skrewed...

The peoblem is I would rather pay £40 for a game and know i must never pay agin, whilst with this there will be subscriptions, and if you must pay again for the game like XBLG its like paying again for the exact same content...

Though obviously this does not mean the end of consoles, they will still stay so  will decide what to do when it arrives...

1)Guitar her 3: all my friends told me it was great, but when I played it it was ok, it was cool playing all the songs and for a while i really liked it, but after a few hours i did all the songs on medium and got bored. It cost me £50... my friends are casual gamers though so its the last tme i listen to them...

2) Far cry 2. I know it was successful but I found it very meh... Yeah the graphics were nice, and the world was big and the shooting was fun but it was so repetitive and the story was horrible so I never really enjoyed it that much. It relied on you making it fun yourself and it just felt like a chore...

Its becuasa all the footage weve seen is for the ps3 and 360, which will never produce high end crysis graphics.

Apparently they will show the PC version soon, which will kick ass.

lol wut?

The AI is great, the use cover, and actually move behind cover instead of conviniently popping up in the same place, if you dont shoot for a while they will advance on you, and they take the best cover available.

Plus they communicate which is cool.

The colours are so you see the grenades coming, instead of having some arrow which destroyes the immersion.

3 stars? Ive not seen the giantbomb review, but its got AAA status overall...

And try the online, its easily the best on the ps3 and imo its more fun than halo 3's.

"i don't think KZ2 is addictive as porn....know why? because i didn't masturbate to it.....yeah, lame joke, i know. anyway, the guy had some good points. i used the air support many times and had NO kills yet. i also hear people complain about how the party system sucks?? hope there will be a patch for that. as for teams being imballance, i can see where he's coming from. I've been choosing to be on the ISA teams a lot lately and find myself winning a lot more games. thats not the only reason why i choose to be on the ISA though, but because its a lot easier to pick off the Helghast due to its bright red eyes. "
I always pick the ISA team just because its easier to see the helghast's red eyes and pick them off. Im so used to playing as the isa, being a helghast throws my game off.
"

I dunno.

although you have the eyes with the helghast the ISA have blue lights near the chest and once you see that you can see the head. Plus their armour is much lighter.

Though i must say the red eyes do make sniper very obvious XD

Though I generally try to keep to cover so hopefully whilst moving about people dont see me at all...
