My Favorite Weapons I've Used In Games

Just a list of weapons I love from games I've played over the years. I'm sure I'll forget a few so please comment and let me know if I missed one of your favorites.

List items

  • No matter if you're taking on zombies or mutants or just blasting some old fashioned Nazis there's few weapons as useful as the classic shotgun (a.k.a. a BOOMstick for you primitive screw-heads).

  • You have to jump up that vertical room anyway so why not kill things while you're doing it? The Screw Attack was one of the first and greatest weapons I became attached to as a young lad on my NES

  • Is the Tyrant lurking around Racoon City? Tired of calm matches of Halo on Live? Do you absolutely, positively have to kill every m-fer in the level? The rocket launcher can solve all these and more problems in the world of video games!

  • A classic! This was my first weapon I ever used in a video game and it's still one of the go-to offensive tools in video games today! Bonus, it never needs reloading like a gun!

  • Problem with guns is all the dead bodies but you don't have to leave unsightly corpses lying around when you use a high powered laser! Turn those bulky dead guys into piles of ash with the concentrated heat of a laser today! Spare batteries not included but highly recommended

  • They're small and deadly, fairly cheap compared to the price on modern firearms, and easier to sneak into school for show and tell than your typical broad sword. Plus it's just fun to throw them...you know!

  • We may never have a 1 to 1 motion control of lightsabers but that doesn't detract from the fact that nobody I know has a negative thing to say about lightsabers. Not to mention they come in a variety of colors so you can color coordinate!

  • Makes quick work of most enemies and has that really satisfying chainsaw sound too! Once again, this is great for zombies, demons, mutants, and all manner of bad guy

  • Sometimes you just don't have time to kill enemies one at a time and you just need a chance to relax off your feet and chill with some tunes while still getting to your mission marker. With a car you just turn the wheel and push the gas and let the car do all the work of killing and traveling all at once! Just bail when it starts to catch fire...

  • Think about how cool fire magic is, you don't have to get too close, has a good chance of doing additional damage if the enemy stays on fire, impresses the ladies (as long as you don't light them on fire), and it's really handy if you happen to be fighting ice beasts or abominable snowmen!
