@burncoat: He was already persona non grata in journalism. Plagiarism is a death knell for that. So he needs to find another source of income, and it feels like he is testing the waters for a career making youtube videos / content for the crowd of people that hate the traditional games press. Not that surprising honestly, what is his other option? Find a job in an industry where they don't google candidate's names during the hiring process?
Wouldn't be surpirsed if this guy has published an article or video detailing his opinions of Anita Sarkeesian and Brianna Wu before the year is out.
Honestly I usually agree with the idea of what he is saying / doing. 9 times out of 10 I think he is fundamentally right that someone else has transgressed in some way or other. On the flip side, I think 9 times out of 10 the way he goes about arguing, or the amount of energy he invests into these battles, is inappropriate, even though he is technically right.
But sometimes he is just absolutely wrong, like when he is flippant about someone having a miscarriage because they already have 9 kids.
He's usually not wrong, but he is always petty and doesn't have the same priorities as a normal person when picking his battles. Larry David has said many times in interviews that the person he plays on the show is who he wishes he could be in his real life, but he lacks the confidence to just do whatever he wants with no regard for what other people will think of him.
