Apart from his fire weakness, the nucleus at the center is his weak point, which isn't exposed for most of the fight. In the first phase I believe your only opportunity is after his beam attack, attack his open maw, it's a pretty short window, but should still help. In the later phase it is more obviously exposed after his jump attacks.
