EA could easily stop this nonsense by allowing the consumer to have the choice which platform to buy the dlc on. Other games that have in-game stores also allow you buy the dlc through steam.
EAs newer games give you no choice, which isn't allowed by Steam. If they allowed that, then they would open up the door to abuse by free-to-play and inexpensive games being downloaded on their service that are basically hubs for people to buy dlc outside of steam. At least give people the choice to use steam to pay for their purchases EA. I bet Steam would even allow some kind of system where you buy Origin Bux or whatever through Steam.
@JJOR64: They may split it off into a separate thing, but this upcoming part is where they might actually talk about today's e3 lol. They haven't done much of that yet. Either way, best livestream ever. Only thing that could be better is varying the intermission music or showing some of the Jeff Gerstmann Collection 3D in High Jeffinition during the long breaks.
@thabigred: Pretty sure he felt about the same way about both games. I sure do. Looks like same old, same old but a bit prettier on both counts. Neither would be even in the running for GotS for me.
I doubt anyone would care that much whether you came or not unless your family is really really small and its a small funeral. They have other things to think about and funerals are pretty much a blur for close relatives. You could always just go to the funeral itself, but I wouldn't recommend it in your current mindset since it seems you would want to make it about yourself and noone wants that.
The 24 hour deadline was a little ridiculous. Glad they extended it a bit. Not everyone has credit cards outside the US and would have to use Paypal which wasnt available, and others may like to wait till pay day to shell out the 50 for the yearly as an unexpected $50 may not be easy to swing for everyone.
