16:9 is all anyone gaming really needs. 16:10 is nice for production because of the extra space. Personally, I would not recommend getting anything bigger than 1080P unless you want to do multi-screen scaling. A nice 1080p 25in IPS screen with a decent pixel density goes a long way.

Give them time. JRPGs are picking up Steam. (har har)

There was a lot of aversion from staunch game makers, particularly from Japanese developers due to piracy and lack of audience in Japan. But Valve/Steam showed everyone that there's a middle ground to make money from and the Western gaming world is practically PC all the way now(you know, X1/PS4). So all of those games and game makers that shrugged off PC Gaming crowd are now flowing toward it like a bee to pollen. The Kickstarter generation of games are pretty much geared for PC day one. Any and all AAA developers that shrug PC releases are getting dirty looks from all angles now. There's no longer an excuse for delayed releases anymore.

This might just end up in a symantics argument, but Origin isn't really spyware. It does a quick scan for your hardware configuration and software for EA related products, then monitors those folders. It isn't anywhere near the level of 'scanning' that a simple Google / Facebook / Twitter account will. Oh yeah, and Steam uses the exact same scanning practices, and just like Steam, you can opt out.

Actually, Steam will ask you to scan for a hardware/software profile before it does and it does ask every once in a while to get an updated look on hardware/installed software for the Steam Stats page. Also, Steam does not need to scan hard drives for folders of past software so it only scans Steam owned folders and game created save folders for cloud function implemented by game makers. The VAC anti-cheat software will scan memory and running processes when its used in a game, just like every anti-virus program ever.

The Google thing is overblown as well. G+ knows nothing about you. You have to fill in the blanks. The Google web crawler will crawl for search info just like all other web crawlers, any information found will already be on the net somewhere. Facebook on the other hand builds shadow profiles of people not on its service hoping to creep you out and coerce you into claiming your shadow Facebook profile. Twitter? Never known them to use any of those practices AFAIK.

If you didn't buy anything yet, go with the 4670k part. Its only about $20 more than the 3570k and 10% faster.

I wish this thread would die a horrible death. Along with this topic.

I don't. Every time someone creates a thread like this, PC Gaming gets better.

Why are people going out of their way to avoid the first game?
Its the hive mind effect. One says no, and the rest feel that they have to also.

The first game is good despite the differences in combat.

@melcene: Exactly!

ITs one thing to use the same body on armored models since random soldiers don't all need to be that distinctive, and armor is changed all the time. But when you keep sending your players to talk to whores to progress the story, they should atleast have variations on body types like the men.

Yeah, it might sound perverted. But its something that I didn't pay attention to until Chapter 2.

...they all have the same body.

From the neck down, its the same model with different clothes. They all have the same shaped breasts with the same top. I wouldn't have noticed if they didn't aim to use the same model for every escort in the game, but its hard to forget once you see it.

I believe the part about the late review copies.

It took CDProjekt up until 1AM PST to get the files to digital distributors for loading (Other than GoG obviously). AND it took even longer to get the bonus material out. Whoever the guy is that's supposed to distribute game data to 3rd parties is dead slow.

@Enigma777:  IT was Treasure back in 1995. Its not bad, just different. Plenty of games these days don't have an art style at all.
