Basically this article is "3D is dead, and the Vita died even faster. Oh god, we hope The Last of Us blows up like Uncharted did." Great job, Sony.

I can't believe how much air time was wasted on the Bombcast about how much clothing this race is wearing in an MMO no one will remember by the end of the summer. And I can't believe I wasted time commenting on it. Moe-style shit is popular, and it makes some people uncomfortable. What else is new? If that's the kind of thing that sets you off, what the hell are you doing playing a South Korean MMO?

A tasteful and relatively-restrained special edition? Take my money.

But all they did was cut content from the game and lock it behind the pay wall of special edition...

Really, all those maps were made already? That's horrible, if true! Tell me, can you cite your sources for this heinous act? Also I wasn't aware that every buyer of Halo 4 was expecting an extended cut of the Forward Unto Dawn series.

A new Halo game is going to have DLC maps, that much is a given. If I play this game like I have past Halos, I will end up buying most of them. Paying up front for them while also getting some nice other perks doesn't seem like a bad deal to me.

@Zippedbinders PAX allows booth ladies to wear costumes that appear in the game, as long as the lady is knowledgeable on the game, which I'm sure she was.

Also I assume you're referring to Frankie with the Hawaiian shirt, that's awesome.

I don't bother carrying a golf club when I cosplay the P4 protagonist. I've been told to put it away before, not worth it.

I don't know what convention that GQ writer attended, but I'm pretty sure that the percentage of females at PAX East this year was WAY MORE than 10%. I was really surprised how many more moms, daughters, girlfriends, wives and just single geek ladies there were, compared to when I attended in 2010. The only shame is that I have to be surprised by that, but I won't be next year.

I also don't think there was anything there you wouldn't find at an auto show in regards to women wearing revealing outfits. What was there was less people being dragged around, obviously forced to be there and more people actually having a really good time because they love games and the people who play em. You also won't see a dude walking around in his boxers at an auto show (Vincent from Catherine was there, and HE didn't get asked to leave).

So honestly, I'll be more inclined to read what outside sources have to say about my hobby when they start concentrating on the hobby itself and its merits, instead of whatever they think will cause some controversy and generate pageviews.

If you dig the art style but not the plot or characters, then you should probably check out One Piece. That show can sink its teeth into you something fierce, and there's a reason it's the most popular anime thing in Japan. Like Dragonball Z, it is constantly ratcheting up the craziness and the fights are flashy, but it doesn't have those painful stretches of nothing happening. Also a lot of it is on Hulu.

May I also recommend Soul Eater if you want an anime you can actually finish watching, with its two seasons as opposed to One Piece's two thousand. Or Oh! Edo Rocket if you want something short and silly. I haven't check out Fairy Tail, but the art style alone has piqued my interest.
