I second this idea. I have been using the DeathAdder for over 3 years now, and I love it.

There are definitely times when I change the difficulty to Easy just to beat a mission. I had to do that Black Ops 1, Mass Effect 2 if I remember correctly.

That being said, I don't play single player games for challenge necessarily. I play them to experience the game. Also there is a fine line between frustrating and rewarding. I don't expect the developers to get it right 100% of the time, so I appreciate the fact that I can tone down the difficulty.

Because the game has been out for more than a year now. I have almost 40,000 kills in that game and even I couldn't give two shits. This game has burned me too many times and AK was shit just like most of the other maps that launched with this game.

Really? I thought it was a pretty damn good expansion pack. The maps are very unique, and although task superiority didn't really take off, conquest was really epic on those maps.

I thought bandar desert and alborz mountains are the best maps in BF3.

@Blackhebrew2: Agreed. Spreadsheets do make life easier. Its just that I've been so used to Backloggery, that I did not bother to spend as much time trying to create a spreadsheet.

I found a combination of parts from Amazon and NewEgg.

There are times when Amazon has better deals than NewEgg.

I found it a lot easier to track progress using this website:

Give it a shot. I think its pretty. Although, you do have to manually add games.

I started a Google+ Battlefield (PC) community. This feature in Google+ became available today (I think, if not, its fairly recent).

I am probably going to get a ton of hate for promoting this, but honestly, I am not going to get anything out of this except for the fact that like minded gamers just get to share screenshots, talk about old battlefield games and what not. So if you are interested, go ahead and join. I know the forum is here as well, and most of you would feel that is enough, but I figured, the technology is there, so why not give it a shot.

There is absolutely nothing on there right now, but as people join, the content will grow as well. I am going to post this in 3 other boards I frequent, so if you happen to see the exact post there, know that I am not spamming.

Thanks.

Here is the link:

[Mod edit: Given that there appear to be several Battlefield communities on Google+ already, and after almost two days, there's still just the one member in this group, I'm going to lock this down. No need to keep this open at this point. -PsEG]

Battlefield 3 is great in some ways, and horrible in others.

Over all it is a huge let down in my eyes.

Why do you think that is?

@mosdl said:

Funny thing is, we tried a BC2 game-night a few months ago, and everyone hated it. Turns out BF3 improves on it a lot, nostalgia can be a bitch.

That is true. Its funny how people look back at older games and all the flaws cease to exist.

This seems more like a Battlefield 4 problem, or even a Medal of Honor: Warfighter problem.

I'm not sure why it's such a grave issue to not be able to play the unfinished, buggy version of a game. It would be nice, but I don't hate them for restricting the 'privilege' (I use that term loosely) to help boost sales of another product. They know some people really, really want it; and yes, they're exploiting that fact. But regardless, I don't think anyone should feel entitled to play the beta version of their next game.

That said, I agree, BF3 is a fantastic game - I feel it's dramatic improvement over Bad Company 2 in virtually every way.

I understand what you are saying. I am being an entitled bitch about the whole thing, but it felt like a total dick move. That's what I did not like.

Also when I said Battlefield 3 problem, I meant to suggest that because of battlefield 3, I am not able to play any of the other games I have. I can see why that title was confusing.

You are one of the few people who said that BF3 was an improvement over BC2. Everyone else on the forums have been hating on this game and calling BC2 a superior game. I am not if that is true because I did not play BC2.

Umm...probabaly slumdog millionaire. It was one of the most boring movies I've seen. I might look at it a little bit more charitably as time goes on. I tend to do that with movies.
