This, except switch Jenks and Fiona. Love Jenks and the camp that is Contradiction, but the character development and voice acting behind Chloe are truly exceptional.
@citizenkane: It is and it isn't. It really helps having some friends teach you the basics and then experimenting for awhile. Minecraft had a lack of direction and end goal as it's problem whereas Terraria may have too many. Once you get a base level of items and gear however Terraria becomes very accessible.
We've been putting lots of gear and life gems in chests so that new players on the server shouldn't have much difficulty jumping into hard mode. Then it's fairly easy to go and mine some of the hard mode ores to build some decent gear and get your armor up pretty high.
I'd be happy to help the newer players but I always log on pretty late at night when no one else is on.
I think a lot of the regulars have stopped playing since we all have nothing to do until the server unlocks hard mode. We were all playing a lot every day but there is really nothing left for any of us to do.
@pfhor: I don't know much about it, but that's an option. Maybe the regulars on the server can discuss the state of things and come up with a consensus on which direction to go in.
Honestly I don't know much about it either. As I was saying on the server I'm pretty new to the game as well, I've just been talking with other players and reading the Terraria wiki trying to take in as much information as possible. I only started playing a couple of days ago, but I've been getting really into the game so far.
Expert mode doesn't seem super difficult so far. I've killed 2 bosses and they have both dropped unique expert mode only items which have been pretty awesome. I guess the bosses scale to the number of players on the server on expert mode,
