<Bomba Gigante> Original oil on canvas by PimblyCharles

Thank you to Giant Bomb, and this incredible community. This is for all you duders.

<Bomba Gigante>

"<Bomba Gigante>" Oil On Cavas. By Pimbly 2014.

Started working on this painting using an abstract expressionist method with only one subject matter in mind: Giant Bomb.

Influences are Marcel Duchamp and Jackson Pollock. Would like to think video games are also an influence.

What do you duders think? Should I continue working on it, or call it done?

This is always a hard decision for an artist. However, art should be just as susceptible to the forces that drive the creation and destruction all around; from past to present into the future; continuously being altered.

What would you recommend adding?

Suggestions and any sort of criticism are welcome! Negative or positive, bring it on!

Thanks again to Giant Bomb for making a place for smart people to hang out, and make fun of the crazy idea we call life through video games.

About Me

[EDIT 2-3-15]

Wow! I had no idea it's been a year since this blog and painting was done. For some subconscious reason I did some interesting edits to this tonight. An entire year later I find myself drawn to this piece. The AI trace used in these was made hastily in one night so please excuse the sloppiness. Actually, forget that. It's the sloppiness and lack of thinking that makes this unique.

Calling it done duders! This painting has gotten some incredible feedback from you all and locally. It's achieved everything intended from the start which was to express the artist's love for Giant Bomb and allow the viewer to make their own subject matter. It's an inadvertent look into Pimbly's psyche and at the same time represents Giant Bomb in their free-form style, playfulness and aggression.
