It seems like whenever people talk about this game, they always talk about how charming the aesthetics are and how unique it is compared to others in the series, but I hardly ever see people talk about the actual platforming and the gameplay, which is where the game kinda falls flat. I was talking to a friend of mine earlier today about this whole debacle on the Bombcast, and he pointed out specifically that the platforming wasn't that great; that it felt loose and floaty.
Super Mario World 2's platforming was loose and floaty. Just let that sink in.
oh and the sound was kinda shitty (aiming the eggs was irritating, the tongue sound, baby mario), music's fine though
You shouldn't let price effect your perception of value, they are experimenting with price and it should be encouraging not a cause for worry, the majority of the game of the year candidates last year were less than $60, not every retail game needs to be $60. Did anyone get worried when StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm was $40?
Starcraft 2 is a different issue altogether
Yeah, HotS isn't exactly Starcraft 3. Dead Island Riptide isn't an expansion, but a sequel.
Allegedly. I mean, what can I say? A buddy of mine thought it was DLC because of it looking so similar/being 40 bucks on Steam.
