S Rank on Shadow Complex, and other shit.

I finallt got the full 200 points form SC. I've played that game for probebly 20h. The game is pretty amazing since you can go back and play the game several times whitout tiering of it. If you haven't checked the game out yet, I recommend you doing so. Its well worth the price.

Aside from SC, I have been playing Civ Rev alot. I got it last week for around $25. Revolution is the first Civilisation game I've ever played so I started on the easyest and won really easely. So as one does, I played my next game on Kind diffeculty and in short I got my ass handed to me in a serious way. I was defending my citys whit archers when the others were bombing the shit out of them whit bombers and tanks. Civ Rev is also a game I would recommend for everyone that likes strategy even a little to try out. Its supper addictive.

Well, as you guys might have heard, Batman Arkham Asylum came out today here in europe and I'm planing on picking it up tomorrow after work. I have heard noting but good things about the game except that shit Ryan was spouting in the QL, but he hadn't played the game yet so I dismiss that. Its gotten really high scores on reviews. I was really surpriced when I read that it got a 9/10 from a swedish gameing magazine that I read frecvently and ofthen agree whit the scores they give out.
I have been pumped for AA a long time now since I'm a huge Batman fan so this game will probebly hold me of untill NHL 10 and Halo 3:ODST come out.

Shit, I checked out what comes out this year and even though alot of games have been pushed back I still have theres still somewhere around 8-10 games that I want this year. Damn... looks like it nudless for x-mas this year again.

Grats on the S rank.  I'll be getting mine after I'm done S ranking Batman.  I'm only, like, four cheevs for SC, so it shouldn't take too long.

Civilization Revolution is an excellent game, especially for $25.  I was shocked at how well they were able to bring a Civilization-style experience to the consoles.  Sure, it doesn't have the intensive micromanagement that the PC games feature, but it was still such a solid game without it.  Unfortunately, I don't play it much anymore.

As for Batman, excellent game.  I understand a couple of things that Ryan said, specifically on the Bombcast when he was trying to judge whether the game was good for a short period of time or if it's good in a longevity type of way.  Nonetheless, I think the game is just flat-out good regardless.  It could've been ultimately shitty like all other Batman games, so with such a low standard set over the course of time, it's easy to just say "well, this may be the best Batman game made, but that's not saying much".  However, Arkham Asylum feels like Dead Space to me:  there's nothing original necessarily, but the sum of all the parts it borrows are done really well.  I'm happy to see that Rocksteady was given the opportunity to make and deliver a great game.  I'm curious to see how this changes up Eidos' pacing for games as well as the way they handle developers under their umbrella, but now that Square Enix has them, Lord only knows.  I'm also sure that there is some animosity around the office due to the fact that it's a game published by Eidos, who also happened to publish Kane & Lynch.  I don't know - I would like to think that the guys are fair and will review things according without personal feelings getting into the mix...but at the same time, it's Eidos, so there may be a bit of a sore feeling in saying "Eidos, the guys responsible for Jeff's firing and the creation of this site, made a good game".  However, I look at it like this:  if there is an animosity there, the guys would need to look at the community they have here, how much we dig what they do, and know that at least WE think that Giant Bomb is a superior place to their previous employers.  That's not a knock on GameSpot, but Giant Bomb features the types of things that we've wanted from a gaming site.
