@fisk0: yeah, I enjoy the Blade Runner influences in video games a lot, but I do wish developers would try their own thing instead of cribbing from existing literature. At the very least they could widen the group of literature they're pulling from. Where's my game based on Vurt god damn it?

But yeah, I'll still take a cyberpunk game over literally any other type of game. I'm insanely exited to see what Cyberpunk 2077 turns out to be.

@artisanbreads: Yeah... I can't even defend how stupid that comment was. I'm an uber-socialist compared to most and I find the dehumanisation of people with opposing view points kind of disgusting (and I'm as guilty of that as anyone).

@weapongod30: hey, if you wanna argue that graphics are more important than gameplay content or well written quest lines that's fine, just know that those pretty graphics are the reason that games cost more to produce now, which is what leads to excessive dlc/microtransactions.

Klepek's podcast with Gita Jackson and Sam Phillips had a guest on there a while back by the name of Cicero Holmes who does the podcast Spawn on Me. He's a republican, and they talk about it a little here at 1hr 29-ish. They also mention Colin Moriarty and his conservatism as an example of the kind of guy who has conservative views and isn't an "asshole" about it. So yeah. Theres that.

Reeling in the budget means you're reeling in content, too.

That, or reel in the graphics, which are literally the least important, yet most expensive to produce part of a game. But then people who spent too much money on video cards would have a tizzy, so...

He is a smart fellow. Ask him how I can get the smarts like him to also be a smart fellow.

I honestly thought about doing exactly this just last week. Glad you decided to take on the burden!

@kuzune: I believe him when he says Dark Souls 3 will be the last Dark Souls game. I do not believe it will be the last game in the Souls series. I'm expecting the same core gameplay in different settings with slight tweaks under a different name, like Bloodborne, to come out of that studio for the foreseeable future.

I mean I hope I'm wrong. Really. I just cant see them dropping the most successful series they've ever had. All I can see in my head is them sitting in a meeting room, scratching their heads, trying to come up with a new game idea, when someone pipes up with "Dark Souls but mechs??". I hope I'm wrong.
