LOTR, at least the books, are all about tone and setting. If the prospect of a two page description of a summer day in the Shire doesn't sound appealing, LOTR isn't for you. If you just want epic battles and orcs being slayed, the work of R.A. Salvatore might be more for you. Assuming you're looking for fantasy.
I gotta say, just about all of your bullet points are objectively wrong. But opinions, man. I could never get used to the clunky feel of everything in BC2.
It's actually very easy to destroy ground targets using nothing but the default machine gun. I've already played a game of rush on Caspian where a single guy in a jet won the game for the defenders. Without air to ground missiles.
I'm thinking it's pretty much confirmed Tommy will play a huge role in the game, but I don't think you'll play as him. The main character is going to be much younger, and will follow Tommy's lead. And if that image posted above of Niko buying a ticket to SA is real, I think that guarantees Niko and probably CJ will play important roles in the story as well.
