@Gunner: That's my feeling exactly....been there done that too many times, lol. But alas....on Aug. 3rd, I'm the one doing the work and teaching new kiddos on the 5th. Here we go again way too soon :-).
"It's cool they are trying something different. But I don't care for it. "
Pretty much how I feel. The concept of the genre mix of rpg and shooter is a brilliant idea though .........so bottomline, it may be really great regardless. But it looks a little too arcade with the graphical style and busy HUD from what I've seen, for my taste in general. The gameplay overall could be a big win anyway, so I'm still very interested.
I played both to the finish, and they are both brilliant. Athena felt fresh and more fun, but that's because I played BB earlier. Both games capture a desperate, dark, and gritty sci-fi vibe very well.
If anyone can find it, post a pic of Justin's winning custom paint job on the Audi R8 preorder car...I can't find that image anywhere. Thanks in advance.
Those are all classics...so great.:-) I miss that game, and I played it to death....the next one needs to hurry the fuck up. I really enjoyed the the humor in the first, and I hope they leave at least some in the second; there's enough 'serious' games as it is.

Sounds pretty cool to me, and I'll be preordering this version for sure. Note: Credit to Phish on the IGN 360 board who posted this there first...thanks Phish!
@crunchUK: Yeah yur prolly right. And the clutch stuff... I'll be anxious to see if you can slip it out of corners for revs, especially w/the smaller cc turbo cars. If so I hope the sim setting takes clutch wear and overheating into account, as well as the missed shifts and the effect on the trannies and breakdowns like the notes said. And shortshifting should be a viable strategy especially w/the big torquemonster motors :-).
