Its been forever since I played a Harvest Moon game (back on the PS2) but personally I think this game kicks all over HM. Maybe the more recent HM games have improved but VPPP has a freshness about it that I can't see in HM (although I might think differently if I'd already played both of the 360 versions).
Anyone? Anyone? I've heard the guys rave about this franchise for a few years now and was excited to pick it up on the DS. So far, five or six hours in, its a great game which seems perfectly suited for a handheld. I'd be curious to hear the thoughts of someone who has played both this and its Xbox 360 cousins.
