To my eye, the absolute best thing to come out of the massive, foundational personnel change at this site in the last year is that Gerstmann can't gain as much traction with his toxicity, because the youngbloods just outnumber him.

Yeah but he still stonewalled it from being higher. "It's not a vote" but also sometimes people are just stubborn and refuse to compromise so then you wind up with the game that offended the fewest of staff as #1 rather than what people are most passionate about that year. Most of staff didn't even have the winner on their top 10 it was just the only one that could make it past the filibuster. Tetris GOTY all over again
I am enjoying Another Eden which which is also a gacha but also made by some chrono trigger alums and kind of a good rpg in its own right with actual gameplay not just auto battles
