When I hit the point where I figured completing the satellite was the "end" of the game, I thought about what else there is to do. I'm not huge on the base building/organization, but I am very curious about using some of the random one off stuff, like the recreational canopy or the figurine platform. I have collected a few of the figures already and may just try to complete the set. At some point I assume I will consider myself to have done everything of note.
@csl316: I think I was close to 40 hours in when I inexplicably stopped; maybe I started playing XCOM, I dunno. I reinstalled it though, would like to see it to the end.
@tevor_the_third : I actually don't know if you can teleport between planets without having the core activated...but I haven't gotten a node activated anywhere else yet :)
I have gotten to a point where I'm traveling in the solar system and seeing the possibilities stretch out and it's getting a little intimidating. Love this series to help keep me sane.
Vinny seems like the best sort of person to play co-op games with. Patient, explains things to people less familiar without ever sounding condescending, has a great time just kickin it with pals. This also applies to the GTFO vid, which I haven't finished.
@nevergameover: I've "played" two, in the sense that I spent at least 15+ minutes with them. I'm looking forward to checking out several others, though. Probably picking up Control before the winter sales end, honestly.
The negotiation battles are a little obtuse to me, though I see the ideas in the mechanic. Randomly reminded me of a game that I'm not sure was ever completed and was pretty widely panned called Winter Voices, where your attacks were emotional/psychological but manifested as damage.
@puppymehard: I figured out that exclamation mark hint and after the 8th time they went into crafting without noticing I admit I got a little annoyed. But I'm glad there are means of figuring it out.
I got a little bit of a Keflings vibe from this, but those games made the building part very efficient (which I appreciated). Speaking of, they should make a new Keflings game.
