It wasn't listed in New Releases, but I was able to search for it and buy it.

Anyone else picking this up?

Price point aside, tailoring a controller's texture, resistance, and layout makes it the best controller I've owned; I get it, not everyone has an extra $100.

@Beaudacious: It's a PS3 controller that feels like a 360 controller. (yes, the video is for the 360 equivalent)

After investing in a Vita, my interest in my PS3 was renewed. I realized that the only reason for my avoidance of the platform is its controller. I went ahead and swapped my 360 copies of BF3 and Reckoning for their PS3 versions and pulled the trigger (pun acknowledged) on the ultimate customizable (and priciest) controller.

Snazzy marketing video incoming!

Pros

  • Trigger and joystick resistance
  • Materials and (customizable) weight
  • 360 layout for PlayStation 3
  • Swappable components for custom layout (use PS3 dpad with one 360 joystick and one PS3 joystick)
  • Sturdy, removable cable
  • MLG branded carrying case

Cons

  • $100 -- yikes!
  • No wireless
  • LOUD shoulder bumpers
  • Can't power on the PS3*
  • Mushy Battlefield 3 controls on PS3**

*faulty controller?

**not the controller's fault...

Update from Bashiok:

"Yup" wasn't meant to be an announcement. We're still exploring a console version, but more importantly working on the PC/Mac version.

@FluxWaveZ: Noted. Figured the video spoke for itself. I'll post a description.

Looks like a fantastic combination of the new breed, construction-adventure games, an RTS, and voxels!

The indie duo (Sauropod Studio) behind the game seem like great guys.

With a little polish, this game is going to be a highlight of 2012.

Still unsure if I'll get a Vita. The thing that will convince me will be exclusive titles with unique gameplay.
