Eve is voiced by Lani Minella, whom you might know from several roles, like Bubsy, Rouge the Bat, or both protagonists of Half-Life: Decay. She's also several characters in Skyrim, and voices B'Elanna Torres in Star Trek Online, but if she sounds familiar, that's probably because she was the voice of Nancy Drew from 1998 to 2015, in a total of 32 games.
In re: blowing old-timey minds, I can confirm that I spent an... alarming amount of time figuring out how to make dynamite using only materials and techniques available to medieval alchemists, based on the synthesis described on Wikipedia. Don't try this at home:
Take vegetable oil or animal fat.
Add lye.
Bonus: now you have some soap!
Separate the soap, leaving a jelly-ish liquid. (This is glycerol)
Calcine a mix of saltpetre, alum, and blue vitriol to produce spirit of nitre.
Roast green vitriol in an iron retort to produce oil of vitriol.
Combine the spirit of nitre and the oil of vitriol, and add to the liquid.
Decant into a horn filled with sand.
Again, please please please don't try that at home, except for maybe the soap-making bit. The rest of it is dangerous, unlikely to work, or both. Good for D&D or if ever you find yourself a Connecticut Yankee, though.
Dear God, nothing in the world is worse than people mispronouncing "Newfoundland".
Also: poor Abby, getting hit with some of the hardest missions in the game back-to-back like this... And congratulations on clearing it out like it was nothing.
I'm really quite impressed with how incorrectly you guys did that one. In fairness though, it all worked out and I suppose y'all just don't have the experience/map knowledge to know that there's a river right by where the island is that'll take you pretty much straight to the destination.
