On the grade thing: What do you call the last person to graduate from med school? Doctor. To be honest grades don't mean anything. They only help you get better scholarships and into "better" colleges. (and sometimes not even that) If you have alot of money you can go to the same school with C's all through HS as a person with A's all his life. After HS no one will care what your grades were. But remember just because you have money does not mean you will graduate, you still have to push through. ;)
Damn right it is necessary! Have you ever trained a dog? When it does something you disagree with you do not reward it. With children the need discipline instead. Parents usually spank the butt do to there not being any important organs under the tissue and has a massive amount of excess muscle. Children then respond to the pain as that something angered their parents and I should not do that again.
But, in this case she was 15 and should understand what she was doing angered her parent. If the child is very aggressive and attacked her first then she should recommend some anger management or another way to solve the problem instead of charging her daughter with assualt.
