Sounding like a broken record in this thread because numerous people have said this, but really didn't see why Niko was so attracted to Kate. The first time I played, I chose the money, because I wanted to help support Roman and Mallory and give them a nice wedding. So when Roman got killed, I was pretty fucking pissed. That in itself told me that the ending was pretty effective in making me feel something for Niko after his cousin got killed. I mean, Roman is really all he has in terms of true family. Plus, he got killed at his fucking wedding. That's pretty awful.

Once I found out the other ending had Kate end up dead, I was really glad I chose the ending where Roman dies, or I would have been like "so what? I didn't connect with Kate much anyway"

Definitely Spiderman 2 for me. I love the way Peter struggles between having the immense responsibility of being Spiderman as opposed to being a carefree college student who is aloof to the troubles of others. It really emphasizes the sacrifice he has to make in his personal life (his schoolwork and relationship with MJ) in order to help keep the city safe. I also thought the fights were cooler in the second movie than in the first or third movies.

also, dungeon defenders yo.

I'll probably be rolling as a Dark Elf rogue. Become a master thief and just generally fuck shit up.

Personal opinion: I'd get the MGS HD collection.

GTA wouldn't feel the same if it was set in another country besides the United States. That said, I think the ideal setting for GTA V would be a Miami-type city, like Vice City was. Vice City is easily the coolest setting for any GTA game and presenting it in next-gen graphics would make one hell of a setting for a game.

Hey there, came across this blog while i was browsing site activity and it was a great read. I'm an author myself and have written a lot of fan fiction, mostly about anime, though I don't really have any large stories I can show people. This blog's got me interested in writing video game fan fiction of my own. I'm eagerly looking forward to reading your stories. I can already tell from how intelligent this blog sounds that they're very good.

I might cook up something myself in the near future. If I do manage to, would you mind reading it and offering a small critique? I'd value your opinion.

The ones people have gifted to me.

This. I don't really play any of the free arcade games off of XBL or anything like that.

And getting new games as gifts always feels awesome :D

Neither as of now, though I'm leaning more towards Battlefield 3. I'll probably end up with both though, seeing as how the holiday season is coming up and my loved ones always buy me a few games. I'm not really interested in Modern Warfare 3 though. I'm all Modern Warfared out.

As far as I know there's no effective counter to it. You just have to be quick with the shotgun. I personally hate wall bouncing and the only time I use it is unintentionally when I'm trying to switch from cover to cover. I don't really see it being a fun way to play the game.
