So...

Did everyone forget that Devil May Cry 5 came out this year?

It's not on like anyone's radar on today's top 10 lists. I'm only about 30min into the podcast though.

The game is amazing!

Narrow the choices down

Read reviews & comparisons online of the cars you're interested in

Seriously consider used

Test drive them

Really looking forward to picking this up soon. Working through a few backlog games at the moment, but plan on getting this soon.

It'll be nice to have a game like this to just relax and play. Most games I play regularly (CS:GO and the like) are competitive and aren't always 'calming' games lol. Can't wait to just kick back and build a city in a game that looks to be really well-rounded (especially w/ mod support).

QUESTION

Do you think this game is worth it for PvP mainly?

The main content of them game hasn't really impressed me from what I've seen. The story looks boring and barely there, the missions look repetitive etc.

BUT, I do like me some multiplayer.

Do you guys think the PvP is varied enough to entertain people for a long enough time, like other FPS games that people mainly buy for multiplayer (CoD, BF etc)?

I haven't seen many people talk about the PvP much. Is there any progression tied to it, or is it just from the missions and stuff? Is there enough variety in the game types to keep you entertained for a long while?

So you want to Windjam eh?

You don't have access to a NEO GEO, 2 Arcade controllers and a friend?

What if I told you that's totally alright and we can forget all about it?

Welcome to the future. A future where you can play Windjammers, today, from the comfort of your own computer chair.

Let's begin

Step One - Have a PC, a controller of your choice (360 controller works great), an internet connection, and a friend (or get lucky and find someone else in the lobby).

Step Two - We are going to visit www.ggpo.net and download their client. Make sure you follow the instructions on the download page (and have Adobe Air updated).

The GGPO client allows emulation for many arcade systems, as well as online play.

Step Three - Extract the GGPO client to a folder. Go ahead and go in there and run 'ggpofba.exe' (this is the offline client). After it runs, it should have created a few new folders, on of them being 'ROMs'. If not, create it yourself, and yes, it is case-sensitive, so make sure it's 'ROMs'.

Step Four - Locate a NEO GEO bios on the internet, and a Windjammers ROM (this is the part where I can't help you because of legal reasons, and you needing to own the stuff to be able to use it etc.).

Place the bios and rom in the 'ROMs' folder. When you run the GGPO client, it may ask you to direct it to the bios file, direct it to the ROMs folder of course.

Go ahead and run the offline client again to test the rom and bios. You may get an error when starting, but it usually will still work. If not, try another bios and/or rom. Start the game, and configure your controls in the client's menu.

Step Five - Run the main ggpo.exe client. To play online, you will need to create an account with ggpo.net. It's a pretty quick process.

Log in after you've registered, and scroll down to the Windjammers lobby. Any other available players will be in here. Click on the person who you'd like to jam against, and then click the 'Challenge them' button.

Step Six - COMMENCE THE JAMMING

Do some push ups to tire yourself out a little bit and then do stretches.

Stretching helps and makes it easier for you to feel comfortable and relaxed in bed, which can help you fall asleep.

@wolverine: are you friends with your roommates?

If not, find some friends or make some with people you know in classes, see what kind of stuff they like doing.

See if people want to hang out after you do group work (if you have to do that stuff). Even if it's just coffee or something it's always nice.

Just go out and check out the city you're in. Take walks, they're always free.

Find a cheap hobby to get into. I've been playing disc golf lately. All you need are 3 discs ($30) and a course nearby and you're set! It's free to play, and lots of fun to learn. You can find people to go with or teach/learn with some school friends.

I wasn't outgoing enough in uni and I regret it. So the best I can do is give you that advice.

Yes. Absolutely.

I got one 2 weeks ago and the system is awesome.

The PS4 and Xbox One are awesome and all, but at the end of the day they are just a box to play games. And when the games aren't there, it's not worth it to have one (to me at least).

I'm going to hold off on a PS4/X1 until late next year. I'll probably go PS4 but waiting till then helps me make a more informed decision.

The Wii U currently had enough games to justify a purchase for me. And I love the thing.

It really is a great system and the gamepad actually brings a lot to the experience. Even when it is just inventory management, it's totally helpful and I really enjoy it.

Fattony hit the nose on almost all the games I'm excited to play. I'm currently playing SM3DW, Rayman, and Wind Waker and they are all awesome.

It's a great time to get one in my opinion.
