At least the AC/DC release was exportable. I bought it for I think $20 not long after it came out so I added a nice set of songs that followed me to Rock Band 3. Here's hoping a little bit down the line Harmonix can try again with the next generation of systems.

@snide: To be somewhat fair to Polygon most of those names are the "Founding Development Team" and either aren't working for the site now or are listed twice. They seem to be down to five people on that front, as their lead is also lead for The Verge. And then some of their people live in cheaper areas that could cut down on their costs. As does the lack of needing a main office for the editorial staff. But even then they do have 17 members on the editorial and reviews staff, which is pushing the high end numbers wise for a staff, (even Game Informer is only showing 19 people on staff, and that includes their video production department and they have to provide a monthly magazine, but there might be more people not listed for the website design). So, we are talking over a $2 million cost for the site which is a huge risk for a brand new site, even if they did take a lot "names" from other sites to try to jump start a fan base.

I love having the podcasts in the main new feed section of the site. I might be more inclined to remember to post something on them now.

I do miss, however, having every image for games on the right side of the page being Dave.

I would not be adverse to buying a special edition of Saints Row 4 with a purple dildo in the package.

I'm a bit disappointed why the main reason for cutting the arm off didn't come up. For myself and all my friends who did it, it was "it probably won't work, but it did in the tv show." Plain and simple. I know they aren't related, but they are, if you know what I mean.

Or even though I knew it wouldn't work I did think "this works in the comic" and this is set in the comic universe so those are related. Of course, they could justify it by saying that Lee had been bitten for too long, or no one there was a doctor so he was bleeding out, or any other excuse. Maybe one of the zombies on the street got to him and bit him when he was murdering his way to the hotel. That might make the most sense as he doesn't pass out again after the arm gets taken off until after he gets back on the street with Clem and he's looking his worst after that scene.

I have a feeling the box with be Linux based because Linux is free and it's an easy way of keeping the price of the box down. You want to play Windows games on this thing? Fine, you pay for Windows. Still, it will be interesting to see where this will go.

It's weird because the story does have some not so good moments and pretty much dies after you kill Vaas, but almost all of the characters are great and you don't nearly get enough time with any of them. The doctor has a ton of backstory that doesn't get explored in the little bit you see him. Sam is interesting in how his character is built and the ways we see him. I wish I could have gotten more of Buck, Vass, and Hoyt. But that's part of what is good about the game, none of the characters overstay their welcome and you are left wanting more of each.

Going into the final part of the game knowing their wasn't some big twist in the story also helped temper my expectations, so I wasn't as left down as some people seem to be. I am glad that while there is some mysticism you can pretty much explain that away with drugs, and it's not like your powers are supernatural. You can just stab guys now, or have more health. Which is better than having mutants and you being infected with the mutant virus that is turning you into one that the first game had, while not going as overboard on the realism from 2.

Most of the people who do it aren't even trying. They switch their control schemes because the RS/R3 button can be pretty sensitive so if you are strafing and shooting you accidentally knife at the guy which stops you from shooting and you have to recover from the knife. Switch to crouch/lie on that button and now all that happens is you lie down when you do it. Of course, some players do it all of the time on purpose thinking they have an advantage but most I have known tend to do it because they hold the sticks too heavy, including myself on occasion, though I have gotten better and switched the knife back because I was having a hell of a time knifing people with the B button since you can't turn and knife at the same time on that control scheme.

They're pretty good. So far I'm liking them better than MW3 which I eventually burned out on. Black Ops I think had more fun in the maps but there is still something about the MW2 maps that stand out to me.
