Finally, Valve is going to make Counterstrike 2. Also, I just bought a PC that is basically a Steam box with Giant Bomb video and streaming added on. Everything else I do on my Macbook.
So if your game hits the 250k cap, it has to be Ouya exclusive for 2 whole years?
And you're still not getting any money from Ouya until you have a beta, which means all of the major development costs are coming from your Kickstarter and you and Ouya is paying for testing and PC ports.
Sucks about Fez 2 for now, but yeah, hopefully this just means Fish feeling better and uncancelling it, moving back and working on it away from the Internet.
Nice Ouya, you'll help developers fund their games by giving them 75% of the money you promise to them after the game is released. I wonder if that would work on my current employees at my job. "Just work here for the next six months and I'll pay you then." I get the "idea" of not giving them most of the money until the game is released to make sure they actually develop the thing and then again when the exclusivity contract ends to ensure the stay exclusive. But it just looks terrible in practice.
I was playing Saints Row the Third today (partly from Ryan's passing), and at one point driving down the street, hand nowhere near the guide button the guide popped up. After the initial shock and looking around I pressed the guide button to return to the game. At which point, having pressed no other buttons my character jumps out of the car she was driving, aims her gun at the car and fires two rounds at it.
Now that may have been a weird Xbox thing going on, but a part of me wonders if maybe Ryan decided to fuck with everyone who has posted something about him the last day one last time. That seems like a Ryan thing to do.
Damn this sucks. Although at least most of Ryan's friends and family got to see him at his happiest for his wedding. Giant Bomb will never be the same.
I just better be able to get my weekly dose of Matt Rorie in video form, preferably doing more Ryan hand holding than every before. Great news, even if there is a twinge of bittersweetness from Dave having left.
Now, the community demands a Dark Souls Endurance Run.
