No drew or alexis or in office stream team? No offense to solo streams but those can become very quiet at times. Team interactions are always best. Looks like this year might be a bummer for the west office. Still will tune in for GB east, lang and alex stuff tho
@deepcovergecko: It's a guest segment with 3 dudes that have been friends for 20+ years and used to work together in the past. Dan kept sticking himself right in the middle of it like an excited child.
Hopefully the next Tales game won't be as forgettable as Zestiria.
I keep telling myself this with every new release... But the Tales series post-Vesperia has taken such a sharp nosedive that I'm finding it difficult to fathom that it'll ever manage to recapture such brilliance the likes of Symphonia & Vesperia. I admittedly haven't played Xillia 2 or Zestiria mind you, but from what I've read they're roughly on par with the quality of everything else this series has been churning out lately. I just wish they'd release a remastered version of Vesperia on modern platforms with all of the bonus PS3 content.
I liked Xillia a lot but Xillia 2 and Zesteria did some really strange things. From muted "pick your choices" protagonist and having to do every single dungeon twice (once with a ugly purple washed out filter) Xillia 2 to the very anti-tales Zesteria which has a really small world, combat is nothing like previous games and 60% of your story quest is "gather x amount of y items" Can become more if you didn't do all the sidequests when they popped up. I keep wondering why they changed it so much over time. I just want to go back to the Symphonia/Abyss/Vesperia era.
Xillia 2 and Zestiria were just way too boring for me. Xillia 2 with the silent protagonist made that really boring for me. Also both felt less lively for me, the world just seemed really dull. The ones I enjoyed the most were Vesperia, Abyss and Graces F to an extent.
I think I just enjoyed the more anime-ish look of vesperia and abyss compared to the new games.
If the multi part release of the game is just the base game(first release) with expansions(second, third, and further releases) adding onto the base game like a GW2 expansion or D3 expansion, then I'd be fine with it. As long as all multi part releases come together to form a full game. Allowing you to go back to Midgar in the later releases without having to close the game and opening up the .exe for the first release. Then I'm A-Okay with that.
