They really need to start leveling more people up, they are very thin on good soldiers. Unfortunately Dan is next and he will probably just feed all kills to abomination on purpose..........
Anyway, that's what I would suggest they do were I sitting in Vinny's chair, but the campaign is on Normal difficulty which is nearly unfailable, so they'll blunder their way forward and probably still succeed even if they do the complete opposite of what I'm suggesting.
Eh, The base defense mission can still easily wreck you on normal, especially if it comes at the worst time possible and your best soldiers aren't available. Thats probably why they let you retry it even on iron man mode since for your first run there is no way to know it is coming and prepare for it.
I am looking forward to the (Enemy Within spoiler) Base Defense mission where the aliens attack HQ. I kindof wish they would do a special episode for that where they all work together, since the mission is so long and important (if you fail you lose the game).
You are allowed to retry the mission even on iron man mode, so i wonder how they will deal with it.
